Matsuya announced on June 26 that it will renew the Matsuya App’s membership rank system starting Saturday, August 1, 2026. The current system has six tiers including Regular, but Regular will be abolished, reorganizing the system into five tiers, and the promotion requirements (the monthly spending needed to advance) for Silver and Platinum will be lowered.

Five Tiers From August 1, With Lower Silver and Platinum Promotion Requirements

The membership ranks after the renewal and the point rebate rates for Matsuben Net/Matsuben Delivery and Matsuya Mobile Order are as follows.

Rank Promotion Requirement (Monthly Spending) Matsuben Net / Matsuben Delivery Matsuya Mobile Order
Bronze Under 1,500 yen 6% 1%
Silver 1,500–2,999 yen 10% 3%
Gold 3,000–4,499 yen 11% 4%
Platinum 4,500–9,999 yen 12% 5%
Diamond 10,000 yen or more 15% 7%

There are three main changes. The first is that the “Regular” rank, previously the lowest tier, has been abolished, making Bronze the new lowest tier — even Bronze earns 6% on Matsuben Net and 1% on Matsuya Mobile Order (Matsuya is promoting this as “6% back from your very first order”). The second is the Silver promotion requirement, lowered from the current 2,000 yen a month to 1,500 yen. The third is the Platinum promotion requirement, lowered from the current 5,000 yen a month to 4,500 yen, which in turn shifts the Gold range to 3,000–4,499 yen a month. The point rebate rates for each rank (up to 15% on Matsuben Net and 7% on Matsuya Mobile Order) and the Diamond promotion requirement (10,000 yen or more a month) remain unchanged from the current system — what’s changing is the spending threshold needed to reach each rank.

Points Are Worth 1 Yen Each, and Rank Is Determined by Monthly Spending

Rank is determined by monthly spending, with the tally period running, based on the order receipt date and time, from 3:00 p.m. on the last day of the month before last to 2:59 p.m. on the last day of last month. Accumulated points can be used in 10-point increments when ordering through the Matsuya App, with 1 point worth 1 yen. The rebate rate differs between Matsuben Net/Matsuben Delivery and Matsuya Mobile Order, with Matsuben Net set higher even within the same rank.

Editor's Note

Now 1,500 yen a month gets you to Silver, and 4,500 yen gets you to Platinum. Matsuya regulars stand to gain the most from this change.
