Matsuya Designates Every "2" Day of the Month as "Matsuben Day": 300-Yen Matsuben Delivery Fee Waived, Starting April 12

Matsuya announced on April 10 that starting Sunday, April 12, it will designate every day containing “2” in the date (the 2nd, 12th, and 22nd of each month) as “Matsuben Day,” launching a campaign that waives the usual 300-yen delivery fee for Matsuben Delivery.

Matsuya said it wants to be “the first thing that comes to mind” when customers are wondering what to have for their next meal, proposing a new habit that lowers the barrier to using delivery.

The first “Matsuben Day” falls on Sunday, April 12, the day after tomorrow. From then on, free delivery will apply regularly, three times a month.

Normally 300 Yen — Now Free Up to 36 Times a Year

The standard Matsuben Delivery fee is 300 yen. With “Matsuben Day” occurring three times a month, that creates up to 36 opportunities for free delivery per year. If a customer takes advantage of all three days every month, they could save up to 10,800 yen a year (300 yen x 36 times) in delivery fees.

From Occasional Promotion to a Regular Institution

Matsuya has run free-delivery campaigns for Matsuben Delivery in the past, but these were always one-off, irregular promotions. By building “Matsuben Day” into a fixed monthly schedule this time, users will now be able to plan their delivery orders around it.
