Matsuya Reopens Four Renewed Stores Today, Opens New Okayama Omotecho Store — Five More Renovations Announced for May

Matsuya confirmed that on April 28, four stores that had been undergoing renovation reopened all at once after their renewals.

The Fussa Shimo and Fujiyoshida stores were renewed this time to add Matsunoya co-location. The Shimbashi 3-chome Store returned after an ultra-short renovation of roughly 35 hours, as previously announced.

New Okayama Omotecho Store Opens

The new “Matsuya Okayama Omotecho Store” (Omotecho 2-2-51, Kita Ward, Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture; co-located with Matsunoya) opened at 10:00 AM today. This is Matsuya’s fifth store within Okayama City and its ninth across Okayama Prefecture as a whole.

Five stores will enter temporary closure in a concentrated wave on May 11–12, then reopen in stages through late May after their renewals.

April’s Renovation Rush Wraps Up

April turned out to be a month of concentrated renovations. With today’s four reopenings, April’s renovation schedule is now essentially complete, and Matsuya moves into a new renovation cycle for May.
