Matsuya Matsudo-Matsuhidai: 7-Day Temporary Closure Announced, July 3 3PM–July 10 3PM

StoreTemporarily Closed

As of 3:58 PM on June 22, 2026, the store list on Matsuya’s official website was confirmed to show the notation “*Temporarily closed from 3:00 PM on July 3, reopening 3:00 PM on July 10” added to the name of Matsuya Matsudo-Matsuhidai (store #1789, 259-5 Matsuhidai, Matsudo City, Chiba Prefecture). The temporary closure is set for 3:00 PM on Friday, July 3, 2026, with reopening set for 3:00 PM on Friday, July 10, marking exactly a 7-day closure. Since a reopening date is listed alongside the closure, the temporary closure appears to be tied to renovation work or similar.

A Season of Early-July Temporary Closures

Matsuya has seen a string of temporary closure announcements at stores nationwide heading into early July. Earlier announcements include Okayama Station West Exit (June 30–July 13), Tenjin (July 1–6), Kanayama (July 1–8), and Nirasaki (June 25–July 8), with Matsudo-Matsuhidai’s July 3–10 closure falling within this same period.

Within Chiba Prefecture, Shin-Kemigawa has already gone through a temporary closure from 3:00 PM on June 8 to 10:00 AM on June 23, and Matsudo-Matsuhidai’s closure period follows on, almost as if picking up where that one left off. Chiba Prefecture currently has 75 Matsuya locations, and from July 3 to 10, Matsudo-Matsuhidai will be the one temporarily closed. With reopening scheduled for 3:00 PM on July 10, operations are expected to resume in about a week.

Editor's Note

Barely settled into 24-hour operation, and now a 7-day break right at the start of next month. Looks like a busy early summer for the Matsuhidai store.
