How Many Uses It Takes to Recoup the 200 Yen

Since a single use of a Matsuya classic Set Meal saves 100 yen against the 200 yen purchase price, using it twice brings the total discount to 200 yen, covering the cost. For 70-yen-off items like Beef Bowl, Bowl, or Curry and Rice, three uses (70 yen × 3 = 210 yen) are enough to break even. With no limit on the number of uses during the one-month July period, even someone using it about once a week could use it 4 to 5 times a month, and the more often someone stops by, the more the savings add up. Because the pass now works across sister brands, users can go for a Set Meal at Matsuya one day, a Loin Katsu Set Meal at Matsunoya another day, or a Hamburg Steak at Steak-ya Matsu on yet another — the real practical difference from before is that a single pass can now be used to claim discounts across multiple brands.
