On June 24, Matsuya’s official X account (@matsuya_foods) once again spotlighted “The Katsu Curry and Rice,” a store-limited menu item offered at Matsuya locations co-located with My Curry Shokudo. Priced at 690 yen, the post described it as “a curry developed under the concept of even cheaper, yet even more delicious with the cutlet,” highlighting how it achieves both a lower price and a dedicated sauce that pairs well with the cutlet. The post also linked to the official store search page where readers can check participating locations.

A Sauce Built Around “Even Cheaper,” in a Three-Item Lineup

The announcement image features a red “Store-limited” badge in the upper left, the My Curry Shokudo logo in the upper right, and the title “The Katsu Curry and Rice” in the center alongside the tagline “At this price, we went and made a sauce that pairs even better with the cutlet.” The main photo shows a dark-colored curry sauce poured over white rice, topped with a sliced loin cutlet.

The lower part of the image lines up two variations alongside the base “The Katsu Curry and Rice”: “The Cheese Katsu Curry and Rice,” which adds sliced cheese to the loin cutlet, at 890 yen, and “The Double Katsu Curry and Rice,” with two stacked loin cutlets, at 920 yen. Compared to the 690-yen base, that’s a +200 yen premium for adding cheese and a +230 yen premium for the double cutlet.

The Katsu Curry and Rice Loin Cutlet + Curry and Rice 690 yen
