At 3 PM on June 4, 2026, Matsuya’s official store data reflected that Higashi-Omiya Ekimae Store (0498) would enter a renovation closure starting today at 3 PM. Reopening is scheduled for 10 AM on Wednesday, June 17, with a renovation period of about 13 days. At the same time, the co-located brand name in the store name listing was rewritten from “Matsuya Higashi-Omiya Ekimae Store (My Curry Shokudo Co-located)” to “Matsuya Higashi-Omiya Ekimae Store (Matsunoya Co-located),” and the co-located brand name in the business hours note also changed from “My Curry Shokudo: 8 AM to 10 PM” to “Matsunoya: 8 AM to 10 PM.” Upon reopening, the store will resume as a Matsunoya co-located store.

The pattern of My Curry Shokudo co-located stores switching to Matsunoya co-location each time they enter a renovation phase has continued for about two months, forming a picture in which the stock of My Curry Shokudo co-located stores in the greater Tokyo metropolitan area is being gradually replaced with Matsunoya co-location.

Hakusan Store Also Announces Renovation Closure Starting June 15

At the same time as Higashi-Omiya Ekimae Store, a renovation closure notice was also reflected for Hakusan Store (0126) in Bunkyo Ward.

Hakusan Store is a 24-hour street-level store located at 1-9-23 Mukogaoka, Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo (Leela Hakusan 103), positioned in central Bunkyo Ward roughly midway between two subway stations, Hakusan Station and Hon-Komagome Station, both served by the Tokyo Metro Namboku Line and Toei Mita Line. At this stage, only a note reading “*Temporarily closed from 3 PM on June 15, opening at 10 AM on July 1” has been newly added to the end of the store name listing, and the current update does not include any announcement of a co-located brand change or name change. Whether this will turn out to be a renovation involving a business format conversion like Higashi-Omiya Ekimae Store, or one focused mainly on facility upgrades, remains unclear at this point, since only the advance notice has been reflected so far.
