Matsuya's Official X Presents Two Options for Next Service Coupon Format, Including New Design With Regular Serving Simmered Beef & Onion Exchange
On June 26 at 3:52 p.m., Matsuya’s official X account (@matsuya_foods) posted two proposed formats for the next service coupon and asked followers, “Which do you prefer?”
Two Proposed Formats
The post presented the following two options:
- ① Current format: A four-ticket booklet where you can choose your favorite from four side options.
- ② New format: One of the four tickets becomes an exchange ticket — “collect a set number and get one Regular Serving Simmered Beef & Onion” — while the remaining three tickets are each fixed to a specific side: Kimchi, Soft-boiled Egg, and Potato Salad (no choice of type).
Option ① follows the current service coupon as-is, while Option ② fixes some of the side choices but newly incorporates a mechanism where collecting tickets earns an exchange for one Regular Serving Simmered Beef & Onion.
The Current Coupon Is the “Choose from 4 Free Service Options,” With a Stamp-Card System Floated on June 4
The current service coupon is the “Choose from 4 Free Service Options” booklet distributed from late April 2026 through around Golden Week. It comes as a four-ticket booklet, with each ticket exchangeable for one of four items — Potato Salad, Raw Egg, Kimchi, or Takeout Miso Soup — and is valid through the end of June. Under this new Option ②, Miso Soup is dropped from the fixed lineup, leaving Kimchi, Soft-boiled Egg (Raw Egg), and Potato Salad as the three fixed sides, with the freed-up ticket now allotted to the Regular Serving Simmered Beef & Onion exchange.
In its June 4 post, the official X account also announced the end-of-June expiration of the service coupon while floating the idea of a stamp-card-style system, asking, “Would you be happy if the next service coupon offered something like ‘collect X tickets for XX service’?” This latest presentation of two options translates that concept into concrete choices for followers to weigh in on.
