Matsuya Makuhari Inter Store, Chiba's Only Triple-Brand Combo Store, Reopens

Matsuya Makuhari Inter Store (1953) reopened for business at 15:00 on October 9, 2026. The notice on the store’s listing page that had read “Temporarily closed from 15:00 on October 4, reopening at 15:00 on October 9” was removed on October 9, and the closure notice disappeared. The reopening came after a full five-day suspension of operations, exactly as announced.

As of September 21, the store’s listing had already stated that it would be temporarily closed from 15:00 on October 4 and would reopen at 15:00 on October 9. The actual reopening proceeded exactly as announced, with no deviation from this schedule.

One of 11 Stores Nationwide That Also House Matsunoya and My Curry Shokudo

Makuhari Inter Store is a combo-format location that houses Matsuya for Beef Bowl, Matsunoya for Tonkatsu, and My Curry Shokudo for Curry and Rice, all in the same building. Of Matsuya’s 1,220 stores nationwide, only 11 take this triple-brand combo form, and within Chiba Prefecture, Makuhari Inter Store is the only one.

The remaining 10 stores are scattered across Kawagoe Town in Mie Prefecture; Nagoya City in Aichi Prefecture; Meidaimae, Oji-Kamiya, and Kiyose in Tokyo; Yokohama City in Kanagawa Prefecture; Makinohara City in Shizuoka Prefecture; Marugame City in Kagawa Prefecture; Kochi City in Kochi Prefecture; and Kagoshima City in Kagoshima Prefecture. With this reopening, the lineup of all three brands — Beef Bowl, Tonkatsu, and Curry and Rice — operating together is restored.

Narashino City Has Four Matsuya Stores, But Only Makuhari Inter Is a Combo Store

Narashino City in Chiba Prefecture, where Makuhari Inter Store is located, currently has four Matsuya stores. Chiba Prefecture has 78 Matsuya stores in total, and by municipality, Narashino ties for sixth place in concentration, following Chiba City’s 14 stores, Matsudo City’s 10, Funabashi City’s 8, Ichikawa City’s 7, and Kashiwa City’s 6.

However, the other three stores within Narashino City — Keisei-Okubo Store (0231), Tsudanuma Minamiguchi Store (0370), and Tsudanuma Store (0185) — are all Matsuya-only locations, without Matsunoya or My Curry Shokudo attached. All three are located roughly within a 2–3 km radius of Makuhari Inter Store, meaning that even within the same city, Makuhari Inter Store is the only place where all three brands come together.

Reopening After a Full Five Days, Exactly as Announced

Temporary closures and reopenings occur frequently at Matsuya stores across the country, and the length of closure periods varies by store and circumstance. Against this backdrop, Makuhari Inter Store returned to operation by following, without deviation, the short announced schedule of 15:00 on October 4 through 15:00 on October 9.
