Matsuya Kitano Store Reopens Today as a Matsunoya Co-located Location

松屋 北野店（0991）が9月9日10時、「松のや」を併設する店舗として営業を再開した。8月26日15時から改装のため営業を休止していた店舗で、店名表記に掲げられていた休業の案内が外れ、松のや併設を示す表記に切り替わった。同じ9月9日には、横浜駅近くの横浜店（0167）が9月30日15時での閉店予定を掲げ、明日9月10日10時に開業予定の八重洲の新店では住所表記が区画番号まで確定した。松屋の店舗網で、改装からの再開・閉店予告・開業直前の住所確定という3つの動きが同じ日に重なった。

Matsunoya Co-location Renovation Reopenings Reach 27 Stores Since May, with Only Kami-Shakujii Store Remaining

Kitano Store is located in Kitano-cho, Hachioji City, Tokyo, and had been closed for renovation since 3:00 p.m. on August 26. It reopened at 10:00 a.m. on September 9, with its store listing now displaying “Matsunoya co-located.” Renovations and reopenings involving Matsunoya co-location have continued since May, and with Kitano Store, the number of Matsuya stores that have reopened through this process reaches 27. The only store still closed for the same type of renovation and yet to reopen is Kami-Shakujii Store (0338) in Nerima Ward, scheduled to reopen at 10:00 a.m. on September 18.

Of the 8 Matsuya stores in Hachioji City, 3 — Kitano Store plus Hachioji Yamada Store (2219) and Tama New Town Store (0082) — are co-located with Matsunoya, putting the city’s co-location rate at 37.5%. Across Tokyo as a whole, 52 of 337 stores, or about 15.4%, are co-located with Matsunoya, while nationwide the figure is 482 of 1,214 stores, or about 39.7%. Hachioji City’s co-location rate far exceeds the Tokyo average and sits close to the national average.

Yokohama Store to Close at 3:00 p.m. on September 30, Leaving Yokohama-Nishiguchi Store as the Only Matsuya in Nishi Ward, Yokohama City

Yokohama Store is located inside the Sotetsu Movil building in Minamisaiwai, Nishi Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, and its store listing now reads, “Scheduled to close at 3:00 p.m. on September 30. Thank you for your patronage.” No reopening date has been given, meaning this is a closure rather than a temporary suspension for renovation. After the closure, the only remaining Matsuya in Nishi Ward, Yokohama City, will be Yokohama-Nishiguchi Store (0254), located about 540 meters away (straight-line distance).

Elsewhere in Kanagawa Prefecture, Sakuragicho Store (0350) has been closed since 3:00 p.m. on August 17, and Kawasaki Ginzagai Store (0154) since 3:00 p.m. on September 4. Both, however, are scheduled to reopen at 3:00 p.m. on September 14, making them different in nature from Yokohama Store, which has no reopening date. Matsuya currently operates 112 stores in Kanagawa Prefecture, a number that will fall to 111 once Yokohama Store closes.

“TOFROM Yaesu Store,” Opening Tomorrow, Has Its Address Finalized Down to the Building Name and Unit Number

For TOFROM Yaesu Store (2277), the new Yaesu location set to open tomorrow, September 10, at 10:00 a.m., the address listing has been updated from “1F Matsuya, 1-6-1 Yaesu, Chuo Ward, Tokyo” to “TOFROM TOWER, Unit 103, 1-6-1 Yaesu, Chuo Ward, Tokyo.” The building name and unit number have been added, and the “1F Matsuya” notation has been dropped. The location itself has not changed; the update simply refines the unit listing ahead of the opening.

The nearest Matsuya to this store is Kayabacho Store (2134) in Nihombashi Kayabacho, about 840 meters away, and there is no other Matsuya in the Yaesu, Kyobashi, or Marunouchi areas (all distances are straight-line). Once it opens, it will be the only Matsuya in the surrounding area for the time being.
