On July 10, Matsuya’s official X account (@matsuya_foods) announced that its authentic Chinese menu item, “Twice-cooked Pork (Hoikoro)”, will go on sale at 10:00 on July 14, 2026. Calling it “Matsuya’s hugely popular authentic Chinese dish, back again this year,” the post promotes it as “a nutritious dish that provides half the vegetables you need in a day.”

Choose Your Side Dish: “Soft-boiled Egg” or “Fuji Mountain Kimchi”

The attached image prominently shows the “Twice-cooked Pork Set Meal” (880 yen): cabbage, green peppers, carrots, onions, and juicy pork stir-fried in a Chinese-style sauce and sprinkled with white sesame seeds. Twice-cooked Pork is Matsuya’s signature stamina-boosting Chinese dish of summer, and it returns this year as a limited-time item. The official announcement dated July 9 explained that this year’s Chinese sauce has been renewed into an “authentic Chinese sauce” that pursues sweetness, richness, and a moderate spiciness. Prices are 880 yen for the Twice-cooked Pork Set Meal, 1,370 yen for the Large Serving, and 680 yen for the Only option (all tax included). Sales start at 10:00 a.m. on July 14.
