What’s Changed Since the Previous Round (March)
The Comeback Campaign has been held periodically since 2024, most recently from March 1 to March 31 — meaning this is its return after roughly two months. Two things have changed since the previous round.
1. “Matsuya Mobile Order” Added to Eligible Services
In the March round, the only eligible service was Matsuben Net, but this time both Matsuben Net and Matsuya Mobile Order are covered. The dormancy qualification period (November 1, 2025 – April 30, 2026) now also requires no orders through either service, widening the net.
| Item | March Round | May Round |
|---|---|---|
| Eligible Services | Matsuben Net | Matsuben Net + Matsuya Mobile Order |
| Dormancy Qualification Period | September 1, 2025 – February 28, 2026 | November 1, 2025 – April 30, 2026 |
| Excluded Stores | Kuhonbutsu Store and Seibu-Yagisawa Store also excluded | No exclusion mentioned for these two stores |
| Campaign Period | March 1 – March 31, 2026 | May 1 – May 31, 2026 |
2. “Original Salt-based Green Onion Thick Pork Boneless Short Rib Bowl” Dropped from Eligible Menu
The March round’s 12 items included the Original Salt-based Green Onion Thick Pork Boneless Short Rib Bowl (50 yen off), but this time it has been dropped, replaced by the newly added Demi-glace Egg Hamburg Steak Set Meal (70 yen off). The Original Salt-based Green Onion Thick Pork Boneless Short Rib Bowl was delisted starting in April, and its removal from the lineup appears to reflect that.
Also, the Extra Green Onion Spicy-Savory Green Onion & Egg Beef Bowl was previously listed under a “bento” label when included, but this time the item itself is the eligible listing — reflecting a cleanup of the product specifications.
An Internal Inconsistency in the Announcement Text
The official announcement for this campaign contains an internal contradiction regarding eligible services.
- Opening paragraph, Eligibility section, and Campaign Details section: both Matsuben Net and Matsuya Mobile Order are eligible for the coupon
- A note at the end of that same “Campaign Details” section: “‘Matsuya Mobile Order’ and ‘Matsuben Delivery’ are not eligible.”
Only Matsuben Delivery should actually be excluded; the mention of “Matsuya Mobile Order” in the note is most likely a holdover from the template used for the previous announcement (which was limited to Matsuben Net). Going by the wording in the opening paragraph and the Eligibility section, it’s natural to conclude that Matsuya Mobile Order is indeed eligible for the coupon this time.
Past History of the Comeback Campaign
This campaign has been held regularly since 2024, roughly every two to three months.
| Month Held | Name | Eligible Services |
|---|---|---|
| March 2024 | Matsuben Net Comeback Campaign Part 3 | Matsuben Net |
| July 2024 | Matsuben Net Comeback Campaign | Matsuben Net |
| August 2024 | Matsuben Net Comeback Campaign | Matsuben Net |
| November 2024 | Matsuben Net Comeback Campaign | Matsuben Net |
| February 2025 | Matsuben Net Comeback Campaign | Matsuben Net |
| September 2025 | Matsuya App Comeback Campaign | Matsuben Net-related |
| November 2025 | Matsuben Net Comeback Campaign | Matsuben Net |
| February 2026 | Matsuben Net Comeback Campaign | Matsuben Net |
| March 2026 | Matsuya App Comeback Campaign | Matsuben Net |
| May 2026 (this round) | Matsuya App Comeback Campaign | Matsuben Net + Matsuya Mobile Order |
The campaign’s name had alternated between “Matsuben Net Comeback” and “Matsuya App Comeback,” but with Mobile Order now added to the scope, it has effectively — and now officially — repositioned itself as a win-back initiative for the Matsuya App as a whole.

Editor's Note
Mobile Order has finally been pulled into the dormancy net. The fact that "Matsuya Mobile Order" is still listed under "excluded services" in the fine print is almost certainly a leftover template error — this announcement had an obvious inconsistency from day one.
