On May 1, Matsuya announced that its Matsuya App “Comeback Campaign” will run from 10:00 on Friday, May 1, 2026 to 23:59 on Sunday, May 31. It is a coupon promotion aimed at dormant members: app members who have not ordered through either Matsuben Net or Matsuya Mobile Order in the past six months or more get up to 70 yen off 12 eligible menu items.

What Changed From the March Edition

The Comeback Campaign has been held regularly since 2024. The most recent edition ran from March 1 to March 31, so this is its return after about two months. Two things differ from the previous edition.

1. Matsuya Mobile Order Added as an Eligible Service

The March edition covered only Matsuben Net, but this time both Matsuben Net and Matsuya Mobile Order are eligible. The dormancy period (November 1, 2025 to April 30, 2026) also requires that the member has ordered through neither service, so the net for catching dormant members has widened.

2. “Original Salt-based Green Onion Thick Pork Boneless Short Rib Bowl” Dropped From the Eligible Items

The March edition included the “Original Salt-based Green Onion Thick Pork Boneless Short Rib Bowl” (50 yen off) among its 12 items. This time it has been removed, and the “Demi-glace Egg Hamburg Steak Set Meal” (70 yen off) has been added in its place. The Original Salt-based Green Onion Thick Pork Boneless Short Rib Bowl has already been delisted since April, which appears to be why it is no longer in the lineup.

Also, the “Beef Bowl topped with Green Onion and Soft Boiled Egg” was previously included under a “bento” label, but this time the same item is eligible as a regular menu item. This appears to reflect a tidying up of product specifications.

Inconsistent Wording in the Announcement

The official announcement for this campaign contradicts itself on which services are eligible.

• Opening paragraph, eligible-members field, and campaign-details field: both “Matsuben Net” and “Matsuya Mobile Order” are eligible for the coupon
• Note at the end of the same campaign-details field: “Matsuya Mobile Order and Matsuben Delivery are not eligible”

The only service that should be excluded is Matsuben Delivery, and the mention of “Matsuya Mobile Order” in the note is quite likely left over from the template of the previous announcement (Matsuben Net only). Going by the opening paragraph and the eligible-members field, it is reasonable to read Matsuya Mobile Order as eligible for the coupon this time.
