Three Matsuya locations will temporarily close one after another in September 2026. The stores affected are Matsuya Machida Store (0107) in Machida City, Tokyo; Matsuya Kawasaki Ginzagai Store (0154) in Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Prefecture; and Matsuya Toshimaen Store (0909) in Nerima Ward, Tokyo. The closure schedules were announced simultaneously, spanning both Tokyo and Kanagawa. In each case, the store itself is temporarily closing for renovation or similar work, and a reopening date has been announced alongside the closure for every location.
