Kobito Introductions Stick to a Plant and Food Theme for Four Weeks Running

The Kobito introduction posts, which began with Sumomo no Uchi on April 3, have now reached their fourth installment at roughly a weekly pace. Each post has featured a plant- or food-themed Kobito in turn.

Date Kobito Characteristics
April 3 Sumomo no Uchi Clings to a plum and burrows inside it
April 10 Ichigo Kurenai Disguises itself as a strawberry
April 18 Amakurisotsu Disguises itself as a chestnut, entering the spiky husk in pairs
April 25 Takenokobito Lives in bamboo groves, eats bamboo shoot nutrients

Following plum, strawberry, and chestnut, this time it’s bamboo shoots. The series is structured to introduce fruit- and vegetable-themed Kobito one after another.

About two and a half weeks remain in the towel giveaway period, which runs through May 12. The Kobito Zukan collaboration overall runs through June 30.

Editor's Note

A Kobito that eats bamboo shoot nutrients — its ecology is bizarrely unique. Matsuya's official Kobito encyclopedia is really committing to the plant theme.
