Matsuya Yasu Store Drops Lot Number '2378-1' from Registered Address Before Opening, Down to One Parcel

StoreUpdated

Matsuya Yasu Store (2291), set to open on November 20, has had the registered address in its store information corrected. The lot number “2378-1,” which had been co-listed at the end of the address, was dropped, revising the notation to a single parcel: “2377-1 Ichimiyake Aza Shikagahata, Yasu City, Shiga Prefecture.” The latitude and longitude coordinates are unchanged, so the store’s actual location has not moved.

Lot Number “2378-1” Dropped, Leaving a Single Parcel

The registered address before and after the change is as follows.

Address Notation
Before 2377-1 and 2378-1 Ichimiyake Aza Shikagahata, Yasu City, Shiga Prefecture
After 2377-1 Ichimiyake Aza Shikagahata, Yasu City, Shiga Prefecture

Of the two co-listed lot numbers, “2378-1” was dropped, leaving only the single parcel “2377-1.”

This is not the first time the Yasu Store’s address notation has been adjusted. When it was first registered on October 20, the notation read “野洲市市三宅” (Yasu-shi-shi Miyake), with the kanji for “city” (市) mistakenly duplicated, but it was corrected to “野洲市三宅” (Yasu-shi Miyake) later that same day. At that point the two lot numbers “2377-1” and “2378-1” remained co-listed, and the latest change on November 4 consolidated them into a single parcel. This appears to be part of finalizing the registered information ahead of the opening (November 20), but the official record doesn’t indicate whether the narrowing to one lot number reflects an actual finalization of the land parcel or is simply a notational cleanup.

First Matsuya in Yasu City, Shiga Prefecture — Opening November 20

The Yasu Store is the first Matsuya in Yasu City, with its opening scheduled for 10:00 AM on November 20. The opening itself was already announced on October 20.

Including the Yasu Store, there will be 13 Matsuya locations in Shiga Prefecture. The nearest existing store is Ritto Shiyakusho-mae Store (2226), about 5.1 km away in a straight line, followed by Ritto Ryosenji Store (2207) at about 5.2 km, and Kusatsu Eki-Nishiguchi Store (2178) at about 6.9 km (all are rough map-based estimates and differ from actual travel distance). While existing stores are concentrated in the Ritto and Kusatsu areas in the southern part of the prefecture, Yasu City gains a new outpost. The Yasu Store is registered not as a standalone Matsuya but in a combined format co-located with Matsunoya, the tonkatsu brand.

Other New Stores Have Also Had Their Address Notation Refined Before Opening

It’s not unusual for newly opened stores to have their registered address notation adjusted around the time of opening. Most recently, on November 2, the registered address and postal code were changed for Osone-Kita Store (0691), and on April 27, Shinjuku Sumitomo Building Store (2286) had its “Tenant B-7 Section” notation removed and simplified to “B1F.”

Whereas those changes involved section names or postal codes, this time the Yasu Store’s coordinates and building section remain unchanged — it’s limited to a notational cleanup in which one of the two co-listed lot numbers was dropped. With a little over two weeks left until opening, this appears to be part of adjusting the registered information ahead of the launch.

Editor's Note

With two weeks left until opening, this is a small update — just one lot number dropped. There's a certain charm in watching a new store's details gradually come together.
