Matsuya will open four stores nationwide in sequence from October 27 to November 7, according to store information on the Matsuya official website. The openings include “Matsuya Kani Store (2305),” the chain’s first location in Kani City, Gifu Prefecture, as well as new stores in Asahikawa City, Hokkaido; Kuki City, Saitama Prefecture; and Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture. All four stores open at 10:00 a.m. and are registered as 24-hour Matsuya locations from the day they open.

First Matsuya in Kani City, the 9th Store in Gifu Prefecture

Matsuya Kani Store in Kani City, Gifu Prefecture, will be the first Matsuya in Kani City. It is located at 814 Aza Hachimanmae, Sakado, Kani City, and opens at 10:00 a.m. on October 30. With this opening, Matsuya will have 9 stores in Gifu Prefecture.

In Gifu Prefecture, “Matsuya Seki Store,” the chain’s first location in Seki City, opened just last month on September 4, so openings in new areas continue. The Kani Store is co-located with Matsunoya.

Asahikawa, Kuki, and Osaka: New Stores in Existing Areas

Matsuya Asahikawa Nagayama Store in Asahikawa City, Hokkaido, is the 4th store in Asahikawa City, following the Kaimono Koen-dori Store, Asahikawa Omachi Store, and Asahikawa Yojo Store. With this opening, Matsuya will have 26 stores in Hokkaido, and Asahikawa City will become the city with the second-most Matsuya stores in the prefecture after Sapporo City (15 stores). It opens at 10:00 a.m. on November 1 and is co-located with Matsunoya.

Matsuya Kuki Shobu Store in Kuki City, Saitama Prefecture, is the 2nd store in Kuki City. While the existing Matsuya Kuki Honmachi Store (2234) is in the central area of the former Kuki City, the Kuki Shobu Store is opening in the former Shobu-cho area (Shobu, Shobu-cho), so the two stores serve different parts of the same city. Kuki Honmachi Store opened in May this year as Saitama Prefecture’s 100th store, so Kuki City gains its second store in about half a year. It opens at 10:00 a.m. on October 27 and is co-located with Matsunoya.

Matsuya Taisho Ekimae Store in Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture, is the 2nd store in Taisho Ward, following Matsuya Taisho Chishima Store (2029). While Taisho Chishima Store is co-located with Matsunoya, Taisho Ekimae Store is registered as a Matsuya standalone store with no Matsunoya. It is located in Sangenya-higashi, Taisho Ward, and opens at 10:00 a.m. on November 7. With this opening, Matsuya will have 113 stores in Osaka Prefecture.

All 4 Stores Are 24-Hour Operations, Clustered in Under Two Weeks

All four stores are 24-hour operations from the day they open, and the openings are clustered in just under two weeks, from October 27 to November 7. On October 1, Matsuya also opened two new stores in Mie and Yamaguchi on the same day, so autumn openings are coming one after another.
