Matsuya Launches ONE PIECE Collaboration Round 2 "Natsu da! En da! Daimanpuku Matsuri" Today at 10 AM
At 10:00 AM on August 18, Matsuya announced on its official X account that it had launched the second round of its collaboration project with the TV anime “ONE PIECE.” The post read, “The second round of the TV anime ONE PIECE collaboration campaign starts today at 10 AM!!” and stated that customers who order target menu items receive original merchandise. This second round marks the latter half of the ongoing collaboration project “Natsu da! En da! Daimanpuku Matsuri,” which began on June 30.
“Natsu da! En da! Daimanpuku Matsuri” Round 2 Runs Through October 6
The poster attached to the official X post features an illustration of “ONE PIECE” characters holding up bowls of Beef Bowl piled high with toppings, alongside large text reading “Round 2 Begins!” The campaign period is listed as running from 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 18 through 9:59 AM on Tuesday, October 6, with prizes available “while supplies last.” Round one started at 10:00 AM on June 30, making the collaboration as a whole a long-running project spanning just over three months.
Kids’ Menu Bonus Switches to a Full Set of 12 “Original Name Charms”
What’s new in round two is the bonus item for orders of kids’ menu items. The eligible items are the “Matsuya Kids’ Beef Bowl Waku Waku Set” and the “Matsuya Kids’ Curry and Rice Waku Waku Set” — replacing the “Original Sticker Sheet” distributed in round one, round two offers an “Original Name Charm” (one of 12 designs, given at random). The distribution period runs from 10:00 AM on August 18 through 9:59 AM on October 6.
Distribution of the round-one stickers ended at 9:59 AM on August 18, meaning the Kids’ Meal bonus carries over without interruption between the 9:59 AM end of round one and the 10:00 AM start of round two. Notably, an August 7 announcement had originally listed August 17 as the end date for round-one bonus distribution, but this was corrected to August 18 later that same day.
Collaboration Set Bonus and Receipt Lottery Continue Unchanged
Meanwhile, the bonuses for the collaboration sets and the receipt lottery continue unchanged from round one. The “Original Acrylic Block Chopstick Rest” (one of 12 designs), given for orders of the “Giant Serving Set” or “ONE PIECE Set” covering six Beef Bowl varieties, remains available. The “Giant Serving Set” (1,430 yen) has stayed on the menu continuously since its debut on June 30.
The online lottery for the “Original Collaboration Bowl” (100 winners), which customers can enter by presenting a receipt for 800 yen (tax included) or more, also continues; the eligible purchase period runs through 9:59 AM on October 6, and receipt entries will be accepted through 11:59 PM on October 13.
49 Days Since Round One — A Typical Interval for Matsuya’s Collaboration Projects
49 days passed between the start of round one (June 30) and the launch of this round two (August 18). Looking back at Matsuya’s past character and anime collaborations, the interval between round one (or the announcement of the campaign) and the transition to the next phase has generally ranged from 40 to 90 days — 41 days for Paddington, 49 days for Miitsuketa!, and 51 days for Chiikawa, among others. At 49 days, the interval for this ONE PIECE collaboration falls squarely within that typical range.
The entire project wraps up at 9:59 AM on October 6. From today, customers have roughly 49 days left to order the target menu items and collect the original merchandise.
Editor's Note
After the stickers, now it's a full set of 12 Name Charms. One more reason to order the kids' menu.
