Matsuya Switches Kid's Meal Images to Kobito Zukan Collaboration Design — Nutrition Unchanged, "Store-Limited" Label Removed
On March 31, the pages for the Kid’s Meal items “Kid’s Beef Bowl Waku Waku Set” and “Kid’s Curry and Rice Waku Waku Set” on Matsuya’s official menu site were updated, confirming a switch from the second round of Chiikawa collaboration packaging to Kobito Zukan collaboration packaging.
Comparison of Changes
| Item | Chiikawa Part 2 (Former) | Kobito Zukan (New) |
|---|---|---|
| Kid’s Beef Bowl Waku Waku Set | 450 yen | 450 yen |
| Kid’s Curry and Rice Waku Waku Set | 450 yen | 450 yen |
| Collaboration Partner | Chiikawa | Kobito Zukan |
| Store-Limited Label | Present | Absent |
The product names and price (450 yen each) remain unchanged.
Removal of the “Store-Limited” Label
During the Chiikawa collaboration, these two items were listed with a “store-limited menu” note, but in the Kobito Zukan collaboration version, the store-limited label has been removed and the items are now available at all locations. This is consistent with the fact that the Kobito Zukan collaboration itself is a joint rollout across Matsuya, Matsunoya, and Sushimatsu.
Nutrition Values Are Completely Identical Before and After the Collaboration Change
The nutrition data for the Kobito Zukan collaboration version has been published and confirmed to match the Chiikawa collaboration version exactly. Regardless of the collaboration, the contents of the Kid’s Meal items themselves stay the same — only the imagery (packaging) and included merchandise change.
| Menu Item | Price | Calories | Protein | Fat | Carbohydrates | Salt Equivalent |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kid’s Beef Bowl Waku Waku Set | 450 yen | 609 kcal | 12.8g | 23.2g | 84.7g | 1.90g |
| Kid’s Curry and Rice Waku Waku Set | 450 yen | 547 kcal | 10.3g | 14.7g | 90.5g | 2.50g |
Starting at 10:00 AM on March 31, as part of the Kobito Zukan collaboration campaign, an “Original Kobito Towel” (six varieties in total) is being given away with orders of the eligible Kid’s Meal items.
Editor's Note
Chiikawa exits, Kobito Zukan takes over. The contents stay the same while only the imagery switches — a glimpse of the rational mechanics behind how these collaborations are run.
