Matsuya Urawa Nakacho Store Pushes Back Temporary Closure by 4 Days — Now July 7, 3 PM to July 14, 3 PM
Matsuya Urawa Nakacho Store (1944) has changed its temporary closure, originally announced for 3 PM on July 3, 2026 through 3 PM on July 10, to 3 PM on July 7 through 3 PM on July 14. The note attached to the store’s name in the store data has been updated to read “*Temporarily closed from 3 PM on July 7, reopening at 3 PM on July 14,” pushing back both the closure date and the planned reopening date by 4 days. The closure period itself remains 7 days.

The “Matching Schedule” with Matsudo Matsuhidai Store Now Off
Urawa Nakacho Store had originally announced a temporary closure on exactly the same schedule — 3 PM on July 3 through 3 PM on July 10 — as Matsudo Matsuhidai Store (1789) in Chiba Prefecture, meaning the two stores, one in Saitama and one in Chiba, were set to close together for the same 7-day stretch. Now that Urawa Nakacho Store’s schedule alone has been pushed back by 4 days, it no longer lines up with Matsudo Matsuhidai Store, whose dates remain 3 PM on July 3 through 3 PM on July 10 — the overlap between the two closures has shrunk to just 3 days, from 3 PM on July 7 to 3 PM on July 10.
Temporary closures continue to be announced and carried out at Matsuya locations around the country — on June 23, Tama New Town Store (Tokyo) and Shin-Kemigawa Store (Chiba Prefecture) reopened after roughly two weeks of temporary closure. With this schedule change at Urawa Nakacho Store, the first half of July will now see a string of staggered temporary closures across Saitama and Chiba.
Editor's Note
The matching schedule with Matsudo Matsuhidai Store has slipped a bit — Urawa Nakacho now starts its break 4 days later, on July 7. The week-long closure itself hasn't changed.
