From Opening to Prepared Food Sales, and Now a New Product Teaser

Matsuya PREMIUM is the first permanent store of its kind in a department store, opened on the basement 1st floor of Matsuya Ginza on June 10, 2026, to commemorate Matsuya Foods’ 60th founding anniversary. It has offered products using carefully selected ingredients such as Kobe beef and domestic Japanese Black Wagyu beef. On July 30, it began selling prepared foods in-store, adding items such as Simmered Kobe Beef to its lineup. This latest new product teaser sits on the extension of a rollout that has expanded step by step, from the opening to the start of prepared food sales.

Until now, when the official X account has featured Matsuya PREMIUM, it has mostly focused on store-related developments such as the opening announcement, lines forming in front of the store, and the start of prepared food sales. This teaser for a product yet to launch takes a different approach from what’s come before. Putting Kujo green onion, a Kyoto vegetable, front and center is also a fitting move for a store that emphasizes carefully selected ingredients.
