Matsuya PREMIUM Ginza Store: Collect 5 Stamps on the LINE Shop Card for a Free Kobe Beef Bowl
On August 3, the official X (formerly Twitter) account of the beef bowl chain Matsuya reported that prepared food sales had begun at “Matsuya PREMIUM Ginza Store,” its permanent store in Ginza, Tokyo. The store’s prepared food sales were announced in advance in an official notice on July 30 and launched at 11:00 a.m. on August 1; this post serves as the announcement marking that launch. Alongside it, the post introduced a perk in which repeat visits tracked on an in-store LINE Shop Card earn customers a free Kobe Beef Bowl.
Five Visits Get You a Free Kobe Beef Bowl: The Shop Card Perk
The official X account explained, “Collect 5 LINE stamps — one per visit — and you get one free Kobe Beef Bowl.” Looking at the in-store shop card screen attached to the post, the card is valid through January 1, 2027. It has 10 stamp slots in total, structured so that 5 stamps unlock the first perk and 10 stamps unlock the second.
The perk section shows that 5 stamps make a Regular Serving Beef Bowl free, and 10 stamps make a Large Serving Beef Bowl free. Since one stamp is awarded per visit, that works out to a free Regular Serving of Kobe Beef Bowl after 5 visits, or a free Large Serving after 10. The Kobe Beef Bowl has been the store’s flagship menu item since opening, priced at up to 2,080 yen in-store. It’s a perk that lets customers get a luxurious bowl enjoyed in Ginza essentially for free.
Kobe Beef Bowl and Umatoma Hamburg Steak Now Available Without Rice
The post also shared another update: “Kobe Beef Bowl and the Black Wagyu Beef Umatoma Hamburg Steak can now be bought without rice.” Three prepared food items were announced in the July 30 official notice: “Matsuya-style Simmered Kobe Beef” (1,080 yen), “Umatoma Hamburg Steak with Domestic Japanese Black Wagyu Beef Only” (1,280 yen), and “Maximum Koitamago Only” (190 yen). By offering these as rice-free single items and prepared foods, the store’s signature meat dishes can now be taken home or paired with whatever staple food customers prefer at home. The quoted Matsuya PREMIUM official account recommends the “Maximum Koitamago,” bought alongside the Kobe Beef Bowl, as an “Extra Egg.”
Rolled Out Less Than Two Months After Opening: What Is Matsuya PREMIUM Ginza Store?
Matsuya PREMIUM Ginza Store is a permanent store that opened in the basement of Matsuya Ginza on June 10, 2026. As a format offering upscale menu items — led by the Kobe Beef Bowl — at a different price range and grade from regular Matsuya locations, it drew attention with long lines forming right after opening. Adding prepared food sales and a shop card perk at a point when the store has been open for less than two months can be seen as an early step forward in its development as a permanent store.
Editor's Note
If five visits get you a free Kobe Beef Bowl, that's a pretty solid excuse to head to Ginza.
