Matsuya Asahikawa Nagayama Store (2294) opened at 10:00 AM on November 1, 2026. It is located at 2-6 Nagayama 3-jo 10-chome, Asahikawa City, Hokkaido, and is co-located with Matsunoya. It is the 4th Matsuya in Asahikawa City.

Matsuya in Asahikawa City Now Totals 4 Stores, With the 3rd Matsunoya Co-located Store

With the opening of the Asahikawa Nagayama Store, Matsuya in Asahikawa City now totals 4 stores, alongside the Kaimono Koen-dori Store (1707), Asahikawa Omachi Store (2083), and Asahikawa Yojo Store (2106). Of these, the Asahikawa Omachi Store, Asahikawa Yojo Store, and Asahikawa Nagayama Store are co-located with Matsunoya, while only the Kaimono Koen-dori Store is not.

The nearest existing store to the Asahikawa Nagayama Store is the Asahikawa Omachi Store, about 4.7 km away in a straight line. Next is the Asahikawa Yojo Store at about 5.0 km, followed by the Kaimono Koen-dori Store at about 5.8 km — placing the new store in the Nagayama area, east of the three existing stores clustered closer to the city center.

The Only 24-Hour Matsuya in the City

The Asahikawa Nagayama Store operates 24 hours a day. Of the other 3 stores in the city, the Asahikawa Omachi Store and Asahikawa Yojo Store both operate from 5:00 AM to 1:00 AM, and the Kaimono Koen-dori Store operates from 8:00 AM to 11:30 PM — making the Asahikawa Nagayama Store the only one in the city open around the clock. The Asahikawa Omachi Store and Asahikawa Yojo Store ended their 24-hour operation earlier this year and shortened their hours to the current schedule, so for a time there was no Matsuya in the city open through the late-night hours. With the new store in the Nagayama area, a round-the-clock Matsuya has returned to Asahikawa.

Matsuya in Hokkaido Now Totals 26 Stores, With Matsunoya Co-location the Norm

With this opening, Matsuya’s store count in Hokkaido has reached 26. By prefecture, that ranks 9th among Japan’s 47 prefectures, with Tokyo leading at 337 stores, followed by Osaka Prefecture with 113 and Kanagawa Prefecture with 111. Of Hokkaido’s 26 stores, 19 are co-located with Matsunoya, making the co-located format the norm within the prefecture. In Asahikawa City too, this is the 3rd co-located store following the Omachi and Yojo stores, and the Nagayama area now has a location where Matsuya and Matsunoya can both be used in one place.
