Matsuya Launches Store-Limited Beef Steak Bowl Today at 10 AM in Two Price Tiers: 1,280 Yen and 1,380 Yen

Matsuya begins selling the store-limited Beef Steak Bowl at 10 AM today, Tuesday, June 23, 2026, across 64 stores nationwide. The dish uses blade meat, a rare cut from the upper rib loin, finished with the aroma of garlic, the richness of tamari soy sauce and red wine, and a sharp kick of black pepper. Pricing is split into two tiers depending on the store — 1,280 yen and 1,380 yen — with 32 stores offering each price.

Both versions come with a specially prepared miso soup and use 100% domestically grown rice, and the announcement carries the tagline “A Bowl Chosen by Instinct.”

A Bowl Made with the Rare “Blade Meat” Cut

According to the promotional image, the Beef Steak Bowl uses a rare cut called blade meat, located in the upper part of the rib loin. Steak grilled on a teppan griddle is arranged over a bowl of rice, topped with a generous amount of garlic chips and chopped scallion. The sauce is described as “fragrant with garlic, rich with tamari soy sauce and red wine, and addictive with a sharp kick of black pepper.” The rice is 100% domestically grown, and the bowl comes with a specially prepared miso soup.

Recent store-limited rollouts have continued this pattern of narrowing menu items to specific brands or stores — for instance, My Curry Shokudo’s The Katsu Curry and Rice was rolled out at Tokyo-centered stores on June 22 — and the Beef Steak Bowl falls in line with this trend.
