Matsuya's 'Komatsu Hinodecho Store' Map Location Shifts About 100 Meters to the Southwest

A rewrite of the map location data has been found at “Matsuya Komatsu Hinodecho Store (2221),” the only Matsuya location in Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Both the latitude and longitude have been updated, moving the pin about 100 meters to the southwest of its previous point. The address listing itself remains unchanged.

What Changed in the Location Data

What changed this time is both the store’s latitude and longitude. The latitude was rewritten from 36.3976904 to 36.3968755, and the longitude from 136.4558965 to 136.4554126. The straight-line distance between the two points is about 100 meters, in a southwesterly direction — breaking down to roughly 90 meters south and 40 meters west in the map’s displayed position.

A location rewrite on the scale of 100 meters all at once affects the pin position shown in navigation apps and store searches. That said, no change has been recorded in the address listing itself — only the location data shown on the map has moved this time.

Ishikawa’s Only Matsuya, Serving Komatsu City

Komatsu Hinodecho Store is the only Matsuya location in Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture. The nearest sister store within the same prefecture, Matsuya Nonoichichuodori, is about 18.5 kilometers away, followed by Kanazawa Kodai-mae at about 21.4 kilometers and Kanazawa Masuizumi Store at about 24.3 kilometers — a location with few nearby Matsuya stores.

Ishikawa Prefecture currently has 7 Matsuya stores. Compared to urban areas such as Tokyo, which leads the country with 337 stores, followed by Osaka Prefecture with 114, Ishikawa falls into the lower tier in terms of store count. Within that count, Komatsu Hinodecho Store is the sole store covering Komatsu City.

Additionally, of Ishikawa’s 7 Matsuya stores, 6 — including Komatsu Hinodecho Store — are co-located with the tonkatsu chain Matsunoya. Given that only 496 of 1,227 Matsuya stores nationwide, roughly 4 in 10, are co-located with Matsunoya, Ishikawa’s co-location rate is higher than the national average.

A Past Shift to 24-Hour Operation

This store has also previously been reported to have switched to 24-hour operation in August 2026. As the only Matsuya in Ishikawa Prefecture, it has a history of changes to store information such as operating hours.
