Matsuya Grants 50 Points on Two Kids' Waku Waku Sets, Bringing Effective Price to 350 Yen
On September 18, Matsuya sent an official app notification about a campaign granting 50 Matsuya Points on two Kids’ Waku Waku Sets. The eligible items are the Kids’ Beef Bowl Waku Waku Set and the Kids’ Curry and Rice Waku Waku Set, and the campaign applies to orders placed through Matsuben Net and Matsuya Mobile Order. It runs from 12:00 a.m. on September 18 through 9:59 a.m. on October 6. The details were already announced in an official notice posted on September 16, and today’s app notification serves as a reminder timed to the campaign’s start date.
The Two Items Effectively Drop to 350 Yen
Both sets are priced at 450 yen (tax included), but an automatically applied app coupon brings the price down to 400 yen, and the 50-point grant from this campaign brings the effective cost down further to 350 yen.
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Eligible items | Kids’ Beef Bowl Waku Waku Set / Kids’ Curry and Rice Waku Waku Set |
| Price | 450 yen → 400 yen each (with app coupon applied), effectively 350 yen with the 50-point grant |
| Eligible orders | Matsuben Net, Matsuya Mobile Order (Matsuben Delivery not eligible) |
| Period | September 18, 12:00 a.m. – October 6, 9:59 a.m. |
| Eligible stores | Nationwide, excluding Haneda Innovation City Store, Narita Airport Terminal 3 Store, and stores inside highway PAs |
Following April and July Campaigns
The same 50-point grant campaign was also held from April 25 to May 10 and from July 21 to August 18 this year. This marks the third run, at roughly two- to three-month intervals.
The Kids’ Waku Waku Set is a standing offering that rotates its included original merchandise. It has gone through the Kobito Zukan collaboration from March through May and the first wave of the ONE PIECE collaboration starting in late June, and since August 18 has featured the second wave, offering a full set of 12 different Name Charms. The point-grant campaigns have been run repeatedly in between these merchandise promotions.
The Notification Text Rephrases the Official Announcement
The notification reads, “Get points when you buy a Kids’ Waku Waku Set 🎁‼️ / Let’s go to Matsuya with the family for Silver Week 💨” The first half, “Get points 🎁‼️,” is a colloquial shortening of the phrasing used in the official announcement posted September 16, “Kids’ Waku Waku Set Point Boost Campaign on the Matsuya App!” — which used the wording “bonus point gift” and “a gift of 50 Matsuya Points.” The second half, the invitation to “go to Matsuya with the family for Silver Week,” does not appear in the official announcement text and appears to be original wording written specifically for the notification. Silver Week refers to the September 19–23 holiday stretch, and the notification went out the day before it begins.
The “💨” emoji at the end also appeared in the notifications sent on September 15 and 17, marking its continued use in recent consecutive notifications.
