Matsuya to Open 3 New Stores From September 17, Including Kagoshima Tenmonkan

On September 3, Matsuya added three new store openings to its store locator: Matsuya Matsusaka Kamatacho Store (No. 2299) in Mie Prefecture, Matsuya Shimonoseki Chofu Store (No. 2329) in Yamaguchi Prefecture, and Matsuya Kagoshima Tenmonkan Store (No. 2614) in Kagoshima Prefecture. All three will be co-located with Matsunoya and will open 24 hours a day. Kagoshima Tenmonkan Store opens at 10:00 AM on September 17, while Matsusaka Kamatacho Store and Shimonoseki Chofu Store both open at 10:00 AM on October 1. As of now, all three are pre-opening listings posted ahead of launch, and none of them has begun operating yet.

Kagoshima Opens September 17, Mie and Yamaguchi Open October 1

Kagoshima Tenmonkan Store will be the earliest to open, at 10:00 AM on September 17. Matsusaka Kamatacho Store and Shimonoseki Chofu Store will open together at 10:00 AM on October 1.

All Three Will Be the City’s 2nd or 3rd Matsuya, Joining Existing Stores

Each of the three new stores is opening in a city that already has an existing Matsuya, adding to the local lineup.

Kagoshima Tenmonkan Store will be the third Matsuya in Kagoshima City, following Matsuya Kagoshima Usuki Store (No. 1393), which is co-located with Matsunoya, and Matsuya Kagoshima Shinei Store (No. 2053), which is co-located with both Matsunoya and My Curry Shokudo. Once it opens, Kagoshima Prefecture will have 7 Matsuya locations.

Matsusaka Kamatacho Store will be the second Matsuya in Matsusaka City, following Matsuya Matsusaka Daikokuda Store (No. 1978), which is also co-located with Matsunoya and sits roughly 2 km away in a straight line. Its opening will bring the number of Matsuya locations in Mie Prefecture to 8.

Shimonoseki Chofu Store will be the second Matsuya in Shimonoseki City, following Matsuya Shimonoseki Hieda Store (No. 1716). Its opening will bring the number of Matsuya locations in Yamaguchi Prefecture to 9. Including these three openings, Matsuya now counts 1,214 stores nationwide.

All Three Will Launch Co-Located With Matsunoya and Open 24 Hours

All three stores will be co-located with Matsunoya, with no My Curry Shokudo attached, so Matsunoya’s tonkatsu will also be available in the same building. All three will start out operating 24 hours a day.

In Kagoshima City, Tenmonkan Store will join the existing Usuki Store and Shinei Store, further increasing the number of 24-hour, Matsunoya-co-located locations in the city.
