The quoted post was the “information unveiled” announcement that Matsuya PREMIUM’s official X account had published the same day, introducing the Kobe Beef Bowl topped with Green Onion and Soft Boiled Egg, going on sale at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 19.

The quoted Matsuya PREMIUM post, headed “＼The information is finally here!✨🎉／,” announces the Kobe Beef Bowl topped with Green Onion and Soft Boiled Egg for 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 19. It describes the bowl as Kobe beef paired with Kujo green onion and a soft-boiled egg from “Maximum Koitamago.”

According to the notice published on the official website the same day, two new items exclusive to Matsuya PREMIUM Ginza go on sale on the 19th. Besides the Kobe Beef Bowl topped with Green Onion and Soft Boiled Egg (1,650 yen; 2,340 yen with Double-Meat), the Duo Pork with Kujo Green Onion in Salt Sauce Box (1,300 yen) goes on sale at the same time. In the official X quote repost, however, only the Kobe Beef Bowl topped with Green Onion and Soft Boiled Egg was named, and the salt sauce box was not mentioned.

The reveal follows a teaser four days earlier

Matsuya PREMIUM’s new product was announced in stages. Four days earlier, on August 14, Matsuya’s official X account also quoted a Matsuya PREMIUM teaser post. That teaser withheld both the product name and the release date, offering only the phrases “Fragrant Kujo green onion. Juicy, flavorful meat. And our carefully crafted salt sauce.” The “information unveiled” post on August 18 revealed the name and date, which led to this reaction post.

Three exclamation marks, one sentence

This post strings together three exclamation marks: “coming!!! (╹◡╹)”. Including this one, there are five posts in which Matsuya’s official account responded to a Matsuya PREMIUM announcement with a quote repost, and four of the five use the (╹◡╹) emoticon. The previous four posts all used at most two exclamation marks, while this one lines up three. The text is also a single sentence, shorter than the previous four, which ran two to four lines.

“Maximum Koitamago” returns from the prepared foods lineup

The “Maximum Koitamago” served with the Kobe Beef Bowl topped with Green Onion and Soft Boiled Egg shares its name with an item sold for 190 yen as a standalone product among the three prepared foods Matsuya PREMIUM Ginza launched on August 1. The August 1 prepared foods were all standalone items, including Simmered Kobe Beef (1,080 yen) and Umatoma Hamburg Steak with Domestic Japanese Black Wagyu Beef (1,280 yen as a standalone item). This time, the egg of that name appears as an ingredient in a beef bowl. Matsuya PREMIUM Ginza is a permanent store that opened in early June on the basement first floor of Matsuya Ginza. It has served its signature Kobe Beef Bowl since opening, and after the addition of three prepared foods on August 1, it now expands the lineup further.

On launch day, both items are introduced together

Both items went on sale on August 19. At 11:39 AM, 39 minutes after the 11:00 AM release, Matsuya’s official X account quote-reposted Matsuya PREMIUM’s own launch-day post. It opened with “New menu items at Matsuya PREMIUM in Matsuya Ginza!! (╹◡╹),” lined up two items, “Kobe Beef Bowl topped with Green Onion and Soft Boiled Egg” and “Duo Pork with Kujo Green Onion in Salt Sauce Box,” and closed with “Please enjoy a luxurious moment with our new summer menu!” The previous day’s reaction post named only the Kobe Beef Bowl topped with Green Onion and Soft Boiled Egg, but this launch-day post introduced both items, including the salt sauce box.

The quoted Matsuya PREMIUM post announced the launch with “Two of our summer showstoppers arrive together at 11:00 AM today!!”, listing “Overwhelming umami: Kobe Beef Bowl topped with Green Onion and Soft Boiled Egg” and “Fragrance and salt sauce you’ll crave: Duo Pork with Kujo Green Onion in Salt Sauce Box,” adding “The star of both is Kujo green onion” and “Please come experience a luxury you can only enjoy at Matsuya PREMIUM this summer.”
