The Matsuya official website’s news page carries no listing about the Senkawa Store’s opening, so word of the opening has come mainly through official X posts.

Second Quote Repost, Following the Opening of Mitaka-Minamiguchi Store

This marks the second time Matsuya’s official X account has covered a new Sushimatsu store opening with a quote repost, following the June 12 opening of Sushimatsu Mitaka-Minamiguchi Store. For the Mitaka-Minamiguchi Store, the post read, “‘Self-service all-you-can-drink’ sounds super fun!” and even included the pre-opening business hours (11:00–14:00 and 17:00–21:00). This time, by contrast, the comment is limited to a single line expressing intent to visit, with no mention of hours or menu. The closing emoticon (╹◡╹) is the same as last time.

Self-Service All-You-Can-Drink: Second Location After Mitaka-Minamiguchi Store

According to the Sushimatsu official post that was quoted, the Senkawa Store has introduced self-service all-you-can-drink as its “second location after the Mitaka store.” The first Sushimatsu location to offer self-service all-you-can-drink was the Mitaka-Minamiguchi Store, which opened on June 12, making the Senkawa Store the second location with the feature. At the Mitaka-Minamiguchi Store, a post on June 13, the day after opening, described trying the store’s self-service all-you-can-drink and getting “too drunk from having too much fun” — and the same setup will now be available at the Senkawa Store as well.

Opening Commemoration: One-Coin Three-Piece Bluefin Tuna Nigiri Platter Through September 30

The Sushimatsu official post announced a fair running through September 30 to commemorate the Senkawa Store’s opening, offering the Three-Piece Bluefin Tuna Nigiri Platter for One-Coin. The Three-Piece Bluefin Tuna Nigiri Platter was also the centerpiece discount item (90 yen off at the time) of the opening commemoration fair when the Mitaka-Minamiguchi Store opened in June, making this the second time the dish has taken center stage for a new store’s opening commemoration. Sushimatsu also announced a limited-time offer on September 5 for Bluefin Tuna Chutoro (medium fatty tuna) at 100 yen per piece, continuing a run of deals centered on bluefin tuna.

Note that this “second location” refers to the store’s rank among locations with self-service all-you-can-drink, not the total number of Sushimatsu stores overall.
