Matsuya Announces Matsunoya Co-location at 3 of 4 Stores Entering Temporary Closure on May 11

StoreUpdated

As of 5:04 PM on May 11, Matsuya’s official site store data confirms that “(Matsunoya Co-located)” has been added to the store name listings of four locations (Aoto Store, Nangodori Store, Asaka Hizaori Store, and Minowacho Store). Matsunoya co-location was specified as the renovation content for the three stores (Aoto, Nangodori, Asaka Hizaori) that entered temporary closure at 3:00 PM on May 11, while Minowacho Store — which previously had no temporary closure schedule — was announced as entering temporary closure at the same time, together with the Matsunoya co-location.

Store Prefecture Store Name Suffix Before Store Name Suffix After
Matsuya Aoto Store Tokyo (None) (Matsunoya Co-located)
Matsuya Nangodori Store Hokkaido (None) (Matsunoya Co-located)
Matsuya Asaka Hizaori Store Saitama Prefecture (My Curry Shokudo Co-located) (Matsunoya Co-located)
Matsuya Minowacho Store Nagano Prefecture (None) (Matsunoya Co-located)

Developments at Each of the 4 Stores

Aoto Store (Katsushika Ward, Tokyo)

The temporary closure schedule remains unchanged at 3:00 PM on May 11 through 10:00 AM on May 28 (about 17 days). The store name listing was updated from “Matsuya Aoto Store” to “Matsuya Aoto Store (Matsunoya Co-located).” The Matsunoya co-location will be carried out during the renovation period.

Nangodori Store (Shiroishi Ward, Sapporo City, Hokkaido)

The temporary closure schedule remains unchanged at 3:00 PM on May 11 through 9:00 AM on June 3 (about 23 days). The store name listing was updated from “Matsuya Nangodori Store” to “Matsuya Nangodori Store (Matsunoya Co-located).” This is the longest closure period among the stores entering temporary closure on May 11.

Asaka Hizaori Store (Asaka City, Saitama Prefecture)

Unlike the other three stores, this location had been operating as “My Curry Shokudo Co-located” prior to the update. With this revision, the format is converting from “My Curry Shokudo Co-located” to “Matsunoya Co-located.” The operating hours listing was also updated from “24-hour operation *My Curry Shokudo hours are 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM” to “24-hour operation *Matsunoya hours are 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.” The temporary closure schedule remains unchanged at 3:00 PM on May 11 through 10:00 AM on May 26 (about 15 days).

Minowacho Store (Minowa Town, Kamiina District, Nagano Prefecture)

This follows the most different pattern among the four stores. There had previously been zero temporary closure schedule, but this revision newly added a temporary closure schedule (3:00 PM on May 11 through 10:00 AM on May 22, about 11 days). The Matsunoya co-location was announced at the same time. Minowacho Store has a history where a temporary closure schedule for renovation was added on April 17, then once canceled on May 1 as “the renovation temporary closure for Minowacho Store has been canceled.” With today’s 5:04 PM revision, the temporary closure schedule has been revived once again, published with 3:00 PM on May 11 — a point already about 2 hours in the past — as its starting time.

Among Stores Entering Temporary Closure on May 11, Only Nakano Ekimae Store Excluded from Co-location

Among the stores entering temporary closure at 3:00 PM on May 11, there were four locations: Aoto Store, Nangodori Store, Asaka Hizaori Store, and Nakano Ekimae Store (Minowacho Store was newly added at 5:00 PM today). Of these, three stores (Aoto, Nangodori, Asaka Hizaori) became subject to the Matsunoya co-location announcement in this revision, but Nakano Ekimae Store was not included in this revision.

Store Entered Closure at 3:00 PM on 5/11 Matsunoya Co-location at 5:04 PM on 5/11 Closure Period
Matsuya Aoto Store ○ (Newly co-located) About 17 days
Matsuya Nangodori Store ○ (Newly co-located) About 23 days
Matsuya Asaka Hizaori Store ○ (Converted from My Curry Shokudo) About 15 days
Matsuya Nakano Ekimae Store × (Not included) About 4 days (shortened by today’s revision)
Matsuya Minowacho Store (Newly added today) ○ (Newly co-located) About 11 days

Nakano Ekimae Store’s opening date was moved up 3 days from May 18 to May 15 in a revision made at 12:15 PM today, giving it a closure period of about 4 days — far shorter than the other stores. This creates a clear split in structure: the three stores undergoing long-term renovation with Matsunoya co-location (Aoto, Nangodori, Asaka Hizaori) versus Nakano Ekimae Store, which is undergoing a short-term renovation without co-location.

Editor's Note

Three of the four stores entering temporary closure on May 11 are getting Matsunoya co-location, and Minowacho Store joined in too — with both its closure revival and the co-location announced together. Only Nakano Ekimae Store, with its short 4-day closure, was left out of the co-location, making a clear split in renovation scale.
