Matsuya to Hold 60th Anniversary "au PAY All-You-Can-Eat Campaign Part 2" in June
Matsuya announced on May 28, 2026 that it will hold the “au PAY All-You-Can-Eat Campaign Part 2” as part of its 60th Founding Anniversary, running from Monday, June 1, 2026 through Tuesday, June 30, 2026. After entering during the campaign period, customers who make an au PAY advance payment of 600 yen (tax included) or more per transaction via the Matsuya App will receive 60 Ponta Points, while payments of 1,500 yen or more earn 300 Ponta Points. In addition, the top 10,000 customers by total spending during the period will receive Ponta Points based on their ranking, with first place earning 60,000 Ponta Points. On the same day, 60th Founding Anniversary campaigns were also separately announced for PayPay and d Barai, meaning the Matsuya App will see reward programs from all three major payment services running in parallel throughout June.

The points awarded per transaction are either “60 points” or “300 points,” never both — payments of 1,500 yen or more earn 300 points, while payments between 600 and 1,499 yen earn 60 points. Details of the points awarded for each individual ranking position can be found on the au PAY campaign page.
A Two-Tier Structure: “Guaranteed Rewards” and the “Top 10,000 Ranking”
This campaign combines two tiers: a guaranteed reward per transaction and a ranking prize based on cumulative spending during the period. The former is awarded to everyone based on the payment amount (60 points for 600–1,499 yen, 300 points for 1,500 yen or more), while the latter awards Ponta Points by ranking to the top 10,000 customers by total spending. The design is built to capture both light and heavy users.
Because the threshold starts at 600 yen, even a single Beef Bowl at Matsuya is enough to qualify for entry. Once the 1,500 yen line is crossed, the per-transaction reward rate jumps to the equivalent of 300/1,500 = 20%, a pricing design that encourages group orders or extra toppings. The 60,000 Ponta Points for first place stands out as an exceptionally large prize among the three consecutive payment campaigns, suggesting a design aimed at concentrating heavy users’ attention.
Comparison with the PayPay and d Barai Campaigns Announced the Same Day
Also on May 28, 2026, Matsuya separately announced a 60th Founding Anniversary PayPay coupon (June 1 – June 30) and a d Barai campaign (June 1 – June 20). This means 60th Founding Anniversary initiatives are being rolled out simultaneously across all three major payment services.
| Campaign | Period | Reward Type | Max Reward per Transaction | Special Period Slot |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 60th Anniversary au PAY All-You-Can-Eat Part 2 (this campaign) | June 1 – June 30 | Ponta Points (by amount) | 300 points (1,500 yen or more) | Top 10,000 ranking (60,000 points for 1st place) |
| 60th Anniversary d Barai (Standard) | June 1 – June 20 | +15% d Points | 300 points | +20% slot for first-time/returning users |
| 60th Anniversary PayPay (Full Month) | June 1 – June 30 | 10% PayPay Points | 200 points | 40% on June 15–16 only (max 350 points per transaction) |
Each of the three campaigns has its own character. au PAY leans heavily into gamification with a design combining “fixed rewards by amount + ranking prize,” and its inclusion of a large prize for heavy users (60,000 points for first place) sets it clearly apart from PayPay and d Barai. PayPay, meanwhile, offers “40% for two days only,” and d Barai offers “an extra +5% for first-time and returning users” — each service is rolling out its 60th anniversary initiative along a different axis of appeal.

Editor's Note
Three straight 60th anniversary payment campaigns — au PAY stands out with the most game-like design, thanks to its ranking prize of 60,000 points for first place. It's interesting how each of the three services appeals to a different crowd.
