At all five locations, the longitude stayed unchanged, while the latitude alone moved south by one increment at the seventh decimal place — the smallest digit used in the coordinate notation on Matsuya’s official website.

Looking at the number of Matsuya locations in the prefectures where these five stores are located, Kanagawa has 112, Osaka 111, and Chiba 77, while Miyagi has just 16 and Shiga 13 — a substantial gap. Even among stores sharing this same ‘latitude-only southbound’ pattern, the density of the store network varies considerably by region.

Matsuya No. 8 Nagahama is the only Matsuya location in Nagahama City, and Matsuya Tomisato Interchange is the only one in Tomisato City. Matsuya Sendai Ichibancho, on the other hand, is one of four locations clustered in Sendai’s Aoba Ward (along with Sendai Chuo, Sendai Minamimachidori, and Sendai Jozenjidori), one of several concentrated in the city center.

Of these, Matsuya Tomisato Interchange has yet to open, with its opening scheduled for July 17, 2026.
