Matsuya Marugame Kubara Store Reopens at 3 PM on August 12 After Temporary Closure

On August 12, Matsuya’s store information was updated for three stores regarding their operating status. The biggest change is that Matsuya Marugame Kubara Store (1832), which had been temporarily closed since July 29, reopened as scheduled at 3 PM on August 12. At the same time, Matsuya Morioka Aiina Store (1734) moved its opening time up by an hour, and Matsuya Hachinohe Joka Store (2081) consolidated its separate notice about Matsunoya’s late-night hours into a single “24-hour operation” listing.

Marugame Kubara Store: Notice Removed, Listing Returns to Normal

The store name for Marugame Kubara Store had carried the note “*Temporarily closed from 3 PM on July 29, reopening at 3 PM on August 12,” but on August 12 that note disappeared and the store name reverted to the standard “Matsuya Marugame Kubara Store” listing. The closure and reopening schedule information was also withdrawn, and the operating hours listing returned to “24-hour operation.” The store appears to have reopened in line with the originally announced date and time of 3 PM on August 12.

Regarding this temporary closure, the notice had briefly disappeared on August 10, then reappeared with the same content on the morning of August 11. This time the notice has been withdrawn again, and the timing matches the originally announced reopening date.

Matsuya operates only two stores in Marugame City, Kagawa Prefecture: this Marugame Kubara Store and Matsuya Marugame Nakabu Store (2051). While Marugame Kubara Store is a standalone Matsuya, Marugame Nakabu Store also has Matsunoya and My Curry Shokudo co-located. For the roughly two weeks that Kubara Store was closed, Nakabu Store was the only Matsuya operating in Marugame City.

This temporary closure lasted 14 days, from 3 PM on July 29 to 3 PM on August 12. Store closures for renovation or equipment upgrades typically range from a few days to about a month, so this two-week closure falls within the typical range.

Morioka Aiina Store: Opening Time Moves from 9 AM to 8 AM

At Morioka Aiina Store, operating hours changed from “9 AM to 9 PM, last order 15 minutes before closing” to “8 AM to 9 PM, last order 15 minutes before closing.” The 9 PM closing time and the last-order rule remain unchanged; only the opening time has moved up by an hour.

Morioka Aiina Store is located inside the “Iwate Prefectural People’s Information Exchange Center (Aiina).” Of Matsuya’s seven stores in Iwate Prefecture, five are concentrated in Morioka City, but Aiina Store is the only one of those Morioka stores that isn’t open 24 hours — the remaining four all operate around the clock. Given its location inside a public facility, its operating hours appear to be set in line with the facility’s own hours.

Hachinohe Joka Store: Matsunoya Late-Night Hours Notice Simplified

At Hachinohe Joka Store, the operating hours listing changed from “24-hour operation *Matsunoya operates from 5 AM to 3 AM the following day” to simply “24-hour operation.” The Matsuya side continues to operate 24 hours as before; what changed is that the note separately specifying the co-located Matsunoya’s operating hours has been removed from the listing.

Hachinohe Joka Store has Matsunoya co-located. Of Matsuya’s four stores in Aomori Prefecture, two are in Hachinohe City: Hachinohe Joka Store and Matsuya Hachinohe Tamukai Store (2263).

Removing the separate note on Matsunoya’s late-night hours from combined Matsuya/Matsunoya stores’ operating hours listings, and consolidating them into a simple “24-hour operation” entry, is an update that has continued across multiple co-located stores since this spring. On the same day, August 12, the operating hours listing for Matsuya Kumamoto Shinshigai Store (1362) similarly lost its separate Matsunoya notice. At the same time, some co-located stores still retain their individual Matsunoya notices, so the listing format hasn’t been standardized across all stores.
