The wording and dates — temporary closure from 15:00 on July 29 and reopening at 15:00 on August 12 — both match what was shown before the notice vanished, so the original reopening schedule remains unchanged.

Closure Notice Vanishes, Then Reappears the Next Morning

The store’s name had carried an added note reading “※Temporarily closed from 15:00 on July 29, reopening at 15:00 on August 12,” announcing both the temporary closure and the planned reopening. It was a listing that spelled out the exact dates and times for both the closure and the return.

That note had disappeared as of August 10, with the store name reverting to the plain “Matsuya Marugame Kubara Store.” As of the morning of August 11, however, the same closure-and-reopening note was once again attached to the store name, with the closure and reopening dates back to the same 15:00 on July 29 and 15:00 on August 12 as before August 10.

On the official site, this amounts to the original announcement — temporary closure from 15:00 on July 29 and reopening planned for 15:00 on August 12 — being shown once again, unchanged.

Marugame City Has Another Matsuya

Matsuya Marugame Kubara Store is located in Kubara-cho, Marugame City, Kagawa Prefecture. Marugame City has one other Matsuya, the Marugame Nakabu Store, which co-locates Matsunoya and My Curry Shokudo and sits about 1.3 kilometers from the Kubara Store. The Kubara Store itself is a standalone store with no co-located brands.

Matsuya has five stores in Kagawa Prefecture in total — two in Marugame City and three in Takamatsu City. Compared with more than 330 stores in Tokyo or over 110 in Kanagawa Prefecture, Shikoku is a region where Matsuya’s presence is thin, and even set against neighboring Tokushima Prefecture’s 6 stores and Ehime Prefecture’s 11, Kagawa’s 5 stores is a modest figure. Against that backdrop, Marugame City having two of them counts as a relatively dense cluster within the prefecture.
