Advance sales of the July edition MATSUYA PASS began at 10:00 AM on June 26. It is priced at 200 yen (tax included), valid for one month from purchase — July 1 through July 31 — and can be used an unlimited number of times during that period. The discount is 100 yen off classic Set Meals, and 70 yen off classic Beef Bowls, Bowls, and Curry and Rice.

An Evolution from the March Edition: Coverage Expanded to 7 Brands, Now Supported on the Matsuya App

The official announcement explicitly describes the July edition as a “revival” of the commuter pass of the same name sold in March 2026. The March edition was announced on February 19 and valid from March 1 to 31, with coverage limited to Matsuya locations serving Beef Bowl, Curry and Rice, and Set Meals.

For the July edition, this coverage expanded to 7 brands: Matsuya, Matsunoya, My Curry Shokudo, Shoken Chinese Dining, Matsutaro, Steak-ya Matsu, and Steak Set Meal Matsugyu. It also newly added support for use via the Matsuya App. While the 200 yen price, one-month validity period, and discount amounts remained unchanged, the range of usable stores and ways to use the pass both expanded.

Reminders Continued Right Up Until the Deadline

Regarding the July MATSUYA PASS, official reminders counting down to the deadline have been repeated throughout the month. On July 10, the account encouraged early purchase, noting 20 days remained before expiration; on July 13, it raised awareness against forgetting to use the pass through a smartphone-notification-style visual; and on July 21, it urged fans to use up their pass with about 10 days remaining. This latest “4 days left” post marks the conclusion of this series of reminders. On July 24, the official account itself posted a taste report of enjoying the “Umatoma Cheese Beef Bowl” at a 70-yen discount, demonstrating just how much the discount actually saves.
