Matsuya Foods will launch a new menu item, “Matsuya Original Sauce Roast Beef,” at Matsuya stores nationwide, except at some locations, from 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2026. The details came out in an official announcement dated July 23, issued five days ahead of the launch. Tender roast beef is topped with egg yolk and scallion, then paired with Matsuya’s special original sauce and “Raifort Sauce,” made from horseradish. The single item comes with miso soup for 880 yen. The lineup totals four items, adding Double, Beef Curry & Rice and Beef Bowl versions.

Roast beef is an unusual star for Matsuya, whose mainstay items are beef bowls and curry. The official announcement calls it “a blissful dish to savor with all five senses.” The richness of the special original sauce is layered with the refreshing kick of the Raifort Sauce, and the mellowness of the egg yolk and the crisp texture of the scallion complete the combination.

The roast beef version joins this slot, whose lineup changes frequently.
