Matsuya Updates July Late-Night Temporary Suspension Schedules for 65 Stores in Kinki, Tokai, and Hokuriku

On July 3, the operating-hours listings for 65 stores centered on the Kinki, Tokai, and Hokuriku regions were updated all at once on Matsuya’s official website. Most of the affected stores operate 24 hours, and their schedules for temporarily suspending operation (marked as “Temporarily Closed”) during late-night-to-early-morning hours were replaced with July dates in place of the June ones.

Late-Night Temporary Suspension Schedules Move to July

The core of the update is the swap of temporary suspension days set for 24-hour stores. For example, the Imaike store (0247) now has new July suspension days at 2:00 a.m.–4:00 a.m. on July 4, 6, and 9; the Kariya Hidaka store (0519) at 10:00 p.m.–9:00 a.m. the next day on July 2–7 and 9–15; and the Kanazawa Masuizumi store (0719) at 10:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m. the next day on July 3–5, 11, and 15. None of these are full-day closures — operation is only halted temporarily during the listed hours, and none of the stores themselves are closing.

65 Stores Across 10 Prefectures Affected

Broken down by prefecture, the affected stores are as follows.

Aichi and Osaka together account for nearly half of the total, and the three Hokuriku prefectures (Toyama, Ishikawa, and Fukui) combine for 14 stores as well.

Stores Returning to Normal Hours, and Stores Newly Added

Some stores have no temporary suspension dates in July and return to normal operation. The Nankai Namba store (0260), Yotsubashi store (0308), Toyota Yamanote store (0390), Amagasaki Shiogama store (0846), Hanshin Nishinomiya store (0899), Izumiotsu store (2087), and Omihachiman store (2157), among others, have had their June suspension listings removed. Conversely, some stores that operated normally in June now have new July suspension dates, including the Komaki store (0473), Otsu store (0612), Ichinomiya store (0638), Hamadera store (0995), Takarazuka Yasukura store (1852), and Obu store (2188).

Hirabari Store Shortened from 24-Hour Operation to “4:00 a.m.–2:00 a.m. the Next Day”

Separate from the suspension-day swaps, the Hirabari store (1960) has changed its basic operating hours altogether. It has moved from “24-hour operation” to “4:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. the next day (last order 30 minutes before closing),” meaning the hours between 2:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. are now outside operating hours. Rather than a temporary suspension on specific days, this is a shortening of the store’s regular operating hours.
