Matsuya App to Launch 'Trial Campaign' Awarding 300 Points Total to New Members on July 1
Matsuya Foods will run the ‘Matsuben Net Trial Campaign’ from 0:00 on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, to 23:59 on Friday, July 31, 2026, awarding a total of 300 Matsuya Points to new members of the Matsuya App. Members who complete new registration and meet the conditions receive the points in two stages: after registration, and again in early August.
Points Awarded in Two Stages, 300 Points Total
The timing and breakdown of the point grants are as follows.
| Timing | Points Awarded |
|---|---|
| After new registration | 100 points |
| By the end of Friday, August 7 | 200 points |
| Total | 300 points |
Matsuya Points can be used when ordering through Matsuben Net, Matsuben Delivery, or Matsuya Mobile Order, redeemable in units of 10 points at a rate of 1 point = 1 yen. The 300 points effectively amount to a 300 yen discount.
Conditions: 3 Steps — New Registration, Code Entry, and 800 Yen in Cumulative Orders
To receive the points, all three of the following conditions must be met.
- Register as a new member through the Matsuya App during the campaign period (0:00 on July 1 to 23:59 on July 31)
- Enter the coupon code ‘OTMS07’ at the time of registration
- Place cumulative orders totaling 800 yen or more through the Matsuya App by Friday, July 31
Matsuya’s official announcement warns that ‘the coupon code cannot be entered after registration is complete, so be sure to enter it at the time of registration.’ Forgetting to enter the code is the biggest pitfall that can disqualify a new member from the conditions.
Eligible stores are Matsuya, Matsunoya, My Curry Shokudo, Sushimatsu, Shoken Chinese Dining, Steak-ya Matsu, Steak Set Meal & Bowl Matsugyu, Mugi no Toriko, and Tukkun² locations nationwide, excluding stores such as those inside parking areas. Advance payment can be made with PayPay, d Payment, Rakuten Pay, au PAY, Merpay, Alipay+, WeChat Pay, or credit card, and the official announcement states this is ‘more advantageous than buying at the ticket vending machine.’
Exactly 800 Yen in Orders Yields an Effective 37.5% Rebate
Since a total of 300 points is awarded for cumulative orders of 800 yen or more, meeting the condition with exactly 800 yen in orders means the points awarded equal 37.5% of the purchase amount. Because the points awarded remain fixed at 300 regardless of how much the order total increases beyond that, meeting the condition at around 800 yen is the most efficient choice in terms of rebate rate. Pairing a Regular Serving Beef Bowl (460 yen) with a salad or a side dish makes for a combination that comfortably reaches the 800 yen line.
July Sees a Cluster of Member-Focused Initiatives
The Matsuya App has seen a series of overlapping member-focused moves in July. An official announcement dated June 24 stated that the second installment of the 60th Founding Anniversary campaign, offering up to 15% back in Rakuten Points for app orders paid via Rakuten Pay, would launch on July 1. A further announcement dated June 26 stated that the Membership Rank System would be renewed on August 1, easing the requirements for upgrading to Silver and Platinum ranks.
While the ‘Matsuya Mobile Order Triple Point Campaign’ held from June 16 to 30 was aimed primarily at existing users, this ‘Trial Campaign’ is focused specifically on acquiring new members through the coupon code.

Editor's Note
As long as you don't forget to enter the code at registration, 300 yen comes back to you. There's a quietly enjoyable puzzle in picking a combo that lands right at 800 yen.
