Matsuya's 'Bowl & Bento Point Boost' Adds +50pt to 13 Items Including Grilled Eel Bowl, Running July 1-7

Matsuya Foods, in an official announcement dated June 30, 2026, stated it will run its Matsuya App-exclusive “Bowl & Bento Point Boost Campaign” from 0:00 on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 through 23:59 on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. Ordering an eligible bowl item through “Matsuben Net” or “Matsuya Mobile Order (takeout)” earns 50 Matsuya Points. “Matsuben Delivery” is not eligible. The previous run, from June 16 to 22, covered only 3 items, but this time the lineup has expanded significantly to 13 items, including eel-based dishes.

Eligible items still earn points when purchased using MATSUYA PASS. The Samgyetang-style Soup Set is also included among the eligible items for the point award.

Since the 50-point award is a fixed amount, the lower the item’s price, the higher the effective rebate rate. Prices for the bowl and beef bowl items are as follows.

The best rebate efficiency comes from the Small Serving Salt-based Green Onion Pork Loin Bowl at 600 yen, with an effective rebate rate of about 8.33% when the 50 points are awarded. Next are the 660 yen items at about 7.58%, followed by the 690 yen items at about 7.25%. By contrast, the rate drops to about 1.94% for the 2,580 yen Triple-size eel items. Since the 50-point award is a fixed amount, ordering cheaper sizes multiple times yields higher overall efficiency. Note that the New Grilled Beef Bowl is not available at stores co-located with Matsunoya or My Curry Shokudo.

Expanded Lineup From the Previous June Run

In the previous run, from June 16 to 22, only 3 items were eligible: Kimchi Kalbi Bowl, Beef Bibim Bowl, and New Grilled Beef Bowl. This time, in addition to those 3, Salt-based Green Onion Pork Loin Bowl and the eel-based Grilled Eel Bowl, Fluffy Egg Grilled Eel Bowl, and Eel Combo Beef Bowl (each in 3 sizes) newly joined the lineup. With the addition of eel items priced up to 2,580 yen in particular, the eligible price range has widened sharply from 600 yen to 2,580 yen. Even with the same 50-point award, the campaign now leans toward encouraging higher-priced takeout orders than before.

A Monthly-Rotating Point Campaign Slot

The Matsuya App-exclusive 50-point boost slot has continued on a rotating basis, switching themes each time. Recently there was the “Curry 50-Point Boost Campaign” covering curry items from May 12 to 18, and the previous bowl-and-bento run from June 16 to 22 — both followed the same common format: a 7-day period, a 50-point award, and eligibility limited to Matsuben Net / Matsuya Mobile Order (with Matsuben Delivery excluded). This time’s July 1–7 run keeps the same 7-day format, reintroducing the same bowl-and-bento theme across a new month. The same July 1 also marks the start of the “Trial Campaign” for new members, with app-related promotions overlapping at the start of the month.
