Matsuya Offers Up to 15% Ponta Points Back via au PAY During 15:00–22:59 Window
Matsuya Foods has announced it will hold the “au PAY Time-Limited Up to 15% Ponta Points Back Campaign” from 15:00 on Saturday, August 8, 2026 through 22:59 on Sunday, August 23. Customers who place an online order through the Matsuya official app or similar channels and prepay 600 yen or more (tax included) via au PAY will receive up to 15% back in Ponta Points (30 points per 200 yen) for every 200 yen spent. The defining feature is that it’s a “time-limited” campaign, restricted to the 15:00–22:59 window each day.
Up to 15% Back per 200 Yen — Capped at 200 Points per Order, 1,000 per Campaign
Participation requires advance entry. During the campaign period, customers who order through the “Matsuya Foods official app” or the “Matsuben Net Mini App” and prepay 600 yen or more (tax included) via au PAY (online payment) will receive points back. The announcement graphic lists four order entry points: Matsuben Net, Matsuya Mobile Order, Matsuben Delivery, and Matsuya Mini App. The “up to 15%” rate includes a 0.5% base point rate.

The 600 Yen Wall: A Beef Bowl Alone Doesn’t Clear It
The starting point for points back is “prepayment of 600 yen or more, tax included.” Matsuya’s flagship Beef Bowl doesn’t reach that threshold on its own — 460 yen for a Regular Serving, 430 yen for a Small Serving — and even the Beef Bowl Lunch Set falls just short at 500 yen (Small Serving) or 530 yen (Regular Serving). Menu items that hit exactly 600 yen on their own include the Kimchi Beef Bowl Lunch Set (Small Serving), the Oni-oroshi Grated Radish Ponzu Citrus Soy Sauce Beef Bowl Lunch Set (Small Serving), and the Salt-based Green Onion Pork Loin Bowl (Small Serving).
Since points back is calculated in 200-yen increments, an order of exactly 600 yen splits evenly into three increments, all of them eligible, earning up to 90 points. On the other hand, orders with a remainder — say, 601 to 799 yen — leave the portion under 200 yen out of the calculation entirely. The per-order cap of 200 points is reached at 1,400 yen (tax included, or seven increments). For bulk orders or orders covering multiple people, keeping the 200-yen increments in mind helps avoid leaving points on the table.
How This Differs From Past au PAY Campaigns
Matsuya has run au PAY × Ponta points-back campaigns repeatedly, but this time’s restriction to the “15:00–22:59 daily” window is a new condition not seen in past au PAY campaigns. Most recently, the “au PAY All-You-Can-Eat Campaign Part 2” (marking the 60th anniversary) ran in June 2026, but that one was built around a flat point grant based on spending amount plus a high-stakes lottery awarding large point bundles to top-ranked users, with first place worth 60,000 points. This time, the campaign uses a rate-based structure that anyone can build up simply by spending, putting the “up to 15% per 200 yen” figure front and center. It’s a shift toward straightforward, guaranteed accumulation rather than a lottery.
New Items Like the “Beef Short Rib & Offal Bowl” Could Also Qualify During the Period
The campaign period (August 8–23) fully covers the release date of two new items, the “Beef Short Rib & Offal Bowl” and “Matsuya’s Yakiniku Beef Bowl,” which go on sale at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11. Order these new items online and pay via au PAY in the evening after launch, and they can qualify for the campaign as-is. With eligible hours concentrated around dinnertime, this also doubles as a chance to try the newly launched items at a discount right after their debut.

Editor's Note
The tricky part is that a single Beef Bowl falls just short of 600 yen. Might as well use that as an excuse to add a miso soup or a topping.
