Ending 11 Days After the Announcement on Official X

The end of ‘Soy Milk Pudding’ had been announced by the official X account on August 28, 2026. The post began with the line ‘Matsuya’s “Soy Milk Pudding” will be ending soon,’ and did not state a specific last day of sale. Even at the time of the announcement, the item was still listed on the official website’s Menu page, with no note such as ‘To Be Discontinued Successively’ attached. Eleven days after the announcement, on September 8, the item was actually removed from the Menu page, confirming the end. No end-of-sale notice appeared in the News section; the single post on official X was the only communication about the discontinuation.

A Single Price of 180 Yen, Leaving One Other Sweet Item

‘Soy Milk Pudding’ was priced at 180 yen, in the mid range of Matsuya’s side menu (80 yen to 960 yen). Sausage and Soft-boiled Egg and Sausage and Egg sit at the same 180 yen. There were no discounted prices exclusive to Matsuben Net or Mobile Order, and no set discount; it was sold only at the single price of 180 yen.

Among sweet items on the side menu, it was one of two alongside 3 Pieces of Jelly (150 yen), priced 30 yen higher. With this discontinuation, 3 Pieces of Jelly becomes the only sweet item left on the current side menu.

56 Days on Sale

‘Soy Milk Pudding’ first appeared on Matsuya’s menu on July 14, 2026, and was listed for 56 days until its end on September 8. Looking at past side menu items that have ended their listings, listing periods range from 14 to 156 days, and 56 days is neither especially long nor short within that range.

At launch, the official X account posted about it as a ‘mystery cup’ without revealing the product name, then disclosed on July 16 that it was ‘Soy Milk Pudding.’ It was a Japanese-style dessert served with kinako and kuromitsu, and arrived with this kind of teaser build-up. After roughly two months on sale, it has now left Matsuya’s side menu.
