Matsuya to Open 'Matsuya Natori Store,' Its First Store in Natori City, Miyagi Prefecture, at 10 AM on November 28

Matsuya will open a new store, “Matsuya Natori Store” (2316), in Natori City, Miyagi Prefecture. According to the store information on the official website, it is located at 271-1 Tagata Aza Hara, Natori City, and will open at 10 AM on November 28, 2026. It will be the first Matsuya location within Natori City.

17th Store in Miyagi Prefecture, in a Network Concentrated in Sendai City

Until now, there has been no Matsuya in Natori City, making Natori Store the first location within the city. Miyagi Prefecture currently has 16 existing stores, and with the opening of Natori Store, the prefecture’s count will rise to 17.

Within Miyagi Prefecture, 12 Matsuya stores are concentrated in Sendai City, with the remainder split between 2 stores in Rifu Town and 1 store each in Osaki City and Ishinomaki City. It’s rare for a Matsuya to open in a municipality other than Sendai City, so Natori Store is positioned as an expansion into the suburbs. Natori City is a bedroom town adjoining Sendai City to the south, and the nearest existing store is “Matsuya Tekute Ngamachi” in Sendai City. The straight-line distance is about 5.7 km, and it is more than 8 km from the next-closest store within Sendai City — extending the prefecture’s store network, which had been concentrated in central Sendai, toward the Natori area.

Opening as a Store Co-located with Matsunoya

Natori Store will open co-located with “Matsunoya,” the tonkatsu and set-meal chain. Co-location with Matsunoya is the mainstream store format in Miyagi Prefecture, accounting for 8 of the prefecture’s 17 Matsuya stores — roughly half. Nationwide, around 40% of Matsuya’s approximately 1,230 operating stores are co-located with Matsunoya. Natori Store follows this co-located format as well.

Opening with 24-Hour Operation

According to the store information, Natori Store will operate 24 hours a day. Being open around the clock, it is a location expected to see use during late-night hours as well, such as on the way home from the Sendai area.

Second New Store This Month in the Tohoku Region

In the Tohoku region, following “Matsuya Yamagata Mamigasaki” in Yamagata Prefecture, which is scheduled to open on November 12, Natori Store will be the second new store opening in the same month. Nationwide, new store openings have continued in succession from October into November, and at the same time as Natori Store — 10 AM on November 28 — “Matsuya Tsushima,” which will be the first Matsuya store in Tsushima City, Aichi Prefecture, is also scheduled to open.
