The official Matsuya X account (@matsuya_foods) posted a visit report on the night of September 25, saying it had visited the conveyor-belt sushi restaurant “Sushimatsu Senkawa Store,” which had opened just the day before. The post opens with “We visited Sushimatsu Senkawa Store~ (╹◡╹)” and continues with “It’s the second location with a self-service alcohol all-you-can-drink corner!!” and “The sushi was so good.” It closes with a note about crowding: “Large crowds are expected for a while, but please do come visit.”

A New Store Visited the Day After Opening

The digital sign at the entrance reads “24th (Thu) AM11:00 OPEN,” indicating that the Senkawa Store opened at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 24. A blue “Sushimatsu (SUSHI MATSU)” signboard decorated with nigiri sushi hangs above, and a green-and-white checkered noren curtain hangs at the entrance.

The emoticon “(╹◡╹)”, used repeatedly in past visit-report posts, appears again this time. This post also carries the hashtag “#SushimatsuCucumberIsDelicious,” and it is unusual for a visit-report post to include a hashtag.

Second Self-Service Alcohol All-You-Can-Drink Location After Mitaka Minamiguchi

Regarding the “second location with a self-service alcohol all-you-can-drink corner” mentioned in the post, looking back through the official X account’s earlier posts, the first location is the “Sushimatsu Mitaka Minamiguchi Store,” which opened on June 12, 2026. The opening-day post introduced it as “Sushimatsu’s first [self-service all-you-can-drink].” About three and a half months (104 days) passed between the Mitaka Minamiguchi opening and the Senkawa Store, and according to the official X account, Sushimatsu locations equipped with a self-service alcohol all-you-can-drink corner still number just two.

The posted images show that self-service alcohol all-you-can-drink corner. The counter, labeled “Self Alcohol All-You-Can-Drink Corner (SELF ALCOHOL ALL YOU CAN DRINK CORNER),” is lined with two draft beer servers, servers for Whiskey and Soda and plain sour, syrups for various sours, shochu, and a Coca-Cola dispenser, so customers can make their own favorite drink.

The Sushi They Ate

The photo of the sushi laid out on the table shows seared salmon with the skin side torched, an assortment including salmon, scallop, and salmon roe gunkan, several kinds of shrimp, and nigiri of chutoro (medium fatty tuna) and lean tuna. A bowl of clam miso soup rounds out the meal. The menu on the table also bears the notation “Sourced from Toyosu Market.”

Cucumber with Miso and Mayo, Possibly the Origin of the Hashtag

One of the posted images shows cucumber served on a black square plate. Some pieces are halved lengthwise and others cut into sticks, and miso and mayonnaise are served alongside. Together with the “#SushimatsuCucumberIsDelicious” hashtag, a cucumber dish was photographed along with the sushi.

Editor's Note

They were already enjoying the all-you-can-drink the day after opening, which is impressively quick. I'm also curious about what the Cucumber Club will do next.
