On the afternoon of August 13, Matsuya’s official X account (@matsuya_foods) posted “The Matsuya App Summer Vacation Coupon is now available,” quoting an announcement from PayPay’s official account. The post promotes the “Summer Vacation Coupon,” which returns up to 15% in PayPay Points when customers order via the Matsuya App and pay with PayPay; the coupon itself has been available since August 1. With the August 31 deadline approaching, the post served as a renewed call to use it.

Up to 15% Back on Purchases of 1,200 Yen or More, 10% on 800 Yen or More

According to the PayPay official announcement quoted in the post, the Summer Vacation Coupon requires claiming the coupon in advance; customers who then pay for a Matsuya App order with PayPay receive up to 15% back in PayPay Points on purchases of 1,200 yen or more (tax included), or up to 10% back on purchases of 800 yen or more (tax included). Two coupons are being distributed, and both require advance claiming to use. The cashback cap is 200 points, as also stated in Matsuya’s official website notice dated July 28. The distribution period runs from 0:00 on August 1 to 23:59 on August 31.

This coupon did not first appear in the August 13 X post. Matsuya’s official website had already previewed it in a notice dated July 28, and the official X account communicated the cashback terms both when distribution began on August 1 and again the following day, August 2. The latest post amounts to a mid-campaign reminder as the deadline approaches.

A Recurring Matsuya App x PayPay Coupon Since Spring

Coupons combining the Matsuya App with PayPay are not a one-off summer campaign; they’ve been a recurring fixture since spring. In June, a special edition offering up to 40% cashback ran for just two days, June 15 and 16, while July saw a coupon offering up to 10% cashback distributed throughout the month exclusively for SoftBank users. August’s “Summer Vacation” edition carries a seasonal name within that ongoing series, with the cashback rate back to the standard maximum of 15% and 10%. Because eligibility and cashback rates change from month to month, checking the terms for each new distribution helps avoid missing out.
