Matsuya Starts Distributing 'Summer Vacation Coupon' Today, Offering Up to 10% PayPay Cashback
On August 1, 2026, Matsuya Foods’ official X account (@matsuya_foods) announced, under the heading “Starts Today,” the launch of a PayPay coupon usable through the Matsuya App. Paying 800 yen or more (tax included) via PayPay through Matsuben Net and other services returns up to 10% in PayPay Points, with the distribution period running through August 31, 2026.
Available on 4 Matsuben Net Services, Up to 10% Point Cashback on Purchases of 800 Yen or More (Tax Included)
According to the coupon image, the offer is limited to four services: Matsuben Net, Matsuya Mobile Order, Matsuben Delivery, and the Matsuben Net Mini App. Paying 800 yen or more (tax included) via PayPay grants up to 10% in PayPay Points at a later date. The cap is 200 points per redemption, and points earned cannot be withdrawn or transferred. If a customer obtains two or more coupons for the same store, only the one with the higher cashback rate is applied. The campaign runs from Saturday, August 1 to Monday, August 31, 2026. The coupon issuer is listed as Matsuya Foods Co., Ltd., with PayPay Corporation as the contracted operator.
The Advance Notice Four Days Earlier Also Mentioned a Higher-Tier Coupon: “Up to 15% for 1,200 Yen or More”
This coupon was first announced in a notice on the official Matsuya website dated July 28, 2026, titled “Matsuya App Summer Vacation Coupon Distribution!” Today’s post is a follow-up timed to the actual start of distribution. The original announcement also mentioned, alongside the 10% coupon for purchases of 800 yen or more, a higher-tier coupon offering up to 15% back on payments of 1,200 yen or more (tax included). If a customer obtains both, the higher 15% rate takes priority. The offer extends across the various formats operated by Matsuya Foods, including Matsuya, Matsunoya, My Curry Shokudo, Sushimatsu, Shoken Chinese Dining, Matsutaro, Steak-ya Matsu, Steak Set Meal & Bowl Matsugyu, Mugi no Toriko, and Tukkun². While the X post only promotes the lower “up to 10%” tier, customers placing larger orders may want to keep the higher-tier coupon in mind as well.
Multiple Matsuya App Campaigns Also Launch on the Same Day, August 1
A string of other Matsuya App campaigns also launched on the same day, August 1, 2026, as this PayPay coupon. The “Hamburg Steak Set Meal & Bento Point Boost Campaign” (August 1–10, 2026), which awards more Matsuya Points than usual for ordering eligible Hamburg Steak set meals or bentos — normally 70 points, rising to 100 points on “Hamburg Day,” August 9 — and the Matsuben Debut Campaign (August 1–31, 2026), which grants 300 points to members using Matsuben Net for the first time, were both also announced as starting on August 1. The overlapping campaigns appear designed to drive traffic to Matsuben Net in line with summer dining demand.
PayPay Cashback Coupons Are a Recurring Staple Campaign
PayPay cashback coupons tied to the Matsuya App and Matsuben Net have been distributed repeatedly in the past. Most recently in July 2026, a coupon offering up to 10% PayPay cashback limited to SoftBank users was distributed from July 1 to 31, structured so that combining a separate in-store coupon with a Matsuben Net coupon could yield up to 200 points in total. This time’s Summer Vacation Coupon differs in that it is open to all members without restriction. In mid-June 2026, there was also a special two-day-only round that raised the cashback rate to as much as 40%, but the rate for regular rounds has generally hovered around 10%, and this time’s up-to-10% offer is in line with that standard level.

Editor's Note
Last month's PayPay cashback was limited to SoftBank users, but this time it's a summer edition open to everyone. If you're placing a bulk Matsuben order, hitting the 800 yen line will be a breeze.
