Matsuya TOFROM Yaesu Store Pushes Back Opening Time from 10 AM to 11 AM on Opening Day Morning

Opening Time Changed from 10 AM to 11 AM

It has been confirmed that Matsuya TOFROM Yaesu Store (2277), opening September 10 in the “TOFROM YAESU” mixed-use complex in Yaesu, Chuo Ward, Tokyo, had its scheduled opening time pushed back by one hour, from the originally announced 10 AM to 11 AM, on the morning of opening day. The opening date itself remains September 10, unchanged.

On Matsuya’s official website store locator, the notation attached to the store, “*Opens September 10 at 10 AM,” was rewritten to “*Opens September 10 at 11 AM.” The correction came on the morning of September 10, just before the scheduled opening time, with no change to the opening date (September 10) or the address — only the opening itself shifted back by one hour.

There have been past cases where an opening time change was made about 10 days ahead of the opening date, but this time the notation changed at the last minute — on the morning of opening day itself.

A Series of Last-Minute Confirmations Before Opening

The store was newly added to Matsuya’s store list on August 17, and its September 10 opening was announced as the new Matsuya store closest to Tokyo Station. At the time of the initial opening announcement, the opening time was given as 10 AM.

Then, on the night of September 9 — two days before opening — the address notation was updated from “1F Matsuya, 1-6-1 Yaesu, Chuo Ward, Tokyo” to the more detailed “TOFROM TOWER Unit 103, 1-6-1 Yaesu, Chuo Ward, Tokyo,” including the building name and unit number. Following this finalization of the address, the opening time was pushed back on the morning of opening day. As the opening approached, the details have been confirmed in stages.

Ahead of the opening, Matsuya’s official X account posted a photo of a glass-fronted storefront with the caption “Where is this??”, and it drew attention when the location turned out to be this very store.

The Only Matsuya Bearing the Yaesu Name

At present, this is the only Matsuya store to include “Yaesu” in its name and address. Chuo Ward, Tokyo, where the store is located, is an area where Matsuya locations cluster even within central Tokyo, and the nearest existing store is Matsuya Kayabacho Store (2134), about 843 meters away in a straight line. Located right in front of the Yaesu exit of Tokyo Station, it is within walking distance of the other existing stores in Chuo Ward.

Although the opening time has been pushed back, it remains a new store right by Tokyo Station, and attention is turning to how opening day unfolds.
