Matsuya Opens TOFROM Yaesu Store on First Floor of TOFROM YAESU TOWER, Steps from Tokyo Station, Today

The commercial complex TOFROM YAESU TOWER opened on September 10, and the first floor now houses the Matsuya TOFROM Yaesu Store (2277) along with the co-located Matsunoya & My Curry Shokudo TOFROM Yaesu Store. The official Matsuya X account (@matsuya_foods) reported the openings that evening with photos of the storefront.

Official X Announces the Opening with Photos: “Matsuya Is Back in Yaesu”

The official account announced, “Matsuya TOFROM Yaesu Store and Matsunoya & My Curry Shokudo TOFROM Yaesu Store have opened in TOFROM YAESU TOWER, which opened today!” It continued with “Matsuya is back in Yaesu!!!” and “We even got an ‘Itadakiyaesu’ sticker (╹◡╹)”.

The triple exclamation marks and the (╹◡╹) emoticon at the end are staple expressions of excitement that the account has used repeatedly in posts celebrating openings and new menu items, and this post follows the same pattern. “Itadakiyaesu,” on the other hand, is an opening-only phrase that blends Yaesu with “itadakimasu” (the Japanese phrase said before a meal), and the same wording is printed on the stickers handed out at the store.

The storefront glows with the yellow Matsuya sign, and the glass bears the word “MATSUYA.” Congratulatory standing flowers sit beside the entrance, and on the neighboring pillar hangs a large advertisement showing a woman in Japanese dress holding a fork, with the words “Itadakiyaesu!” and “The long-awaited Shop&Restaurant 60 finally opens.”

24-Hour Operation, with Morning Meals from 350 Yen

According to the in-store notice, the Matsuya TOFROM Yaesu Store is on the first floor of TOFROM YAESU TOWER at 1-6-1 Yaesu, Chuo Ward, Tokyo, and operates 24 hours a day. It offers Morning Meals from 350 yen, available only from 5 AM to 11 AM, and has table seating. Set meals and Morning Meals come with a free upgrade to a Large Serving or Extra-large Serving of rice, and a Kid’s Meal (with original goods) is also available. The poster shows photos of the Beef Bowl and the “Tomato Hamburg Steak Meal,” and a coupon on the back is also advertised.

The store is a prime location close to the Yaesu Central Exit of Tokyo Station, near the Daimaru Tokyo Store and Sakura-dori. The “Itadakiyaesu” sticker was photographed alongside this announcement poster.

Matsunoya & My Curry Shokudo Open at the Same Time in the Co-located Store

The Matsunoya & My Curry Shokudo TOFROM Yaesu Store, co-located on the same first floor, also opened at the same time. The tonkatsu specialist Matsunoya and the curry restaurant My Curry Shokudo are combined in a single store, and congratulatory standing flowers line the entrance. The windows carry a notice reading “Store-limited: Free Rice and Miso Soup Refills (All Set Meals)” as well as a notice for an opening-commemorative “Free Refills” sale.

From Teaser to Opening: About a Month of Build-Up

This Yaesu store had been drawing attention well before opening, ever since the official X account posted a photo of the glass-fronted “MATSUYA” on August 6. It was listed in the store locator on August 17 with a September 10 opening, but on the morning of the opening day the opening time was pushed back from 10 AM to 11 AM. The announcement poster’s headline still reads “9.10 THURSDAY AM10:00 OPEN,” which appears to be the notation from before this change.

Matsuya has also seen a string of new store openings since the start of September. The Musashimurayama Store reopened as a store co-located with Matsunoya on September 1, the Seki Store in Gifu Prefecture opened on September 4, and the Yaesu store followed on September 10. Most of these openings have been in regional or suburban areas, but this time the chain has opened in a prime central Tokyo location right next to Tokyo Station.
