Matsuya Kainan Store Ends Roughly 25 Days of 24-Hour Operation

The business hours of Matsuya Kainan Store (1757, Funao, Kainan City, Wakayama Prefecture) changed on August 25 from “24-hour operation” to “5:00 AM to 3:00 AM the next day (last order 30 minutes before closing).” The store had only just switched to 24-hour operation on July 31, and after roughly 25 days of round-the-clock service, it has now reverted to its original hours.

Hours revert to “5:00 AM to 3:00 AM the next day”

The new business hours run from 5:00 AM to 3:00 AM the next day, with last order set 30 minutes before closing. Since the store closes at 3:00 AM, the final order time falls at 2:30 AM.

During mid-August, while the store was still on 24-hour operation, a temporary suspension of late-night hours had briefly been announced, but that plan was withdrawn, and as of August 15 the store was listed as operating 24 hours a day. Now, roughly 10 days later, the 24-hour operation itself has ended, and the store has returned to the same hours it kept before the end of July.

The Iwade Store, which switched at the same time, had already reverted after 2 days

On July 31, the same day the Kainan Store moved to 24-hour operation, Matsuya Iwade Store (0710), also in the prefecture, switched from “5:00 AM to 3:00 AM the next day” to 24-hour operation as well. The Iwade Store, however, reverted to its original hours just two days later, on August 2. The Kainan Store kept 24-hour operation going for about 25 days before making the same change, following the same path roughly three weeks behind.

Arida Inter Store now the only 24-hour Matsuya in Wakayama Prefecture

With this change, among the six Matsuya locations in Wakayama Prefecture, only Matsuya Arida Inter Store (2074) continues to operate 24 hours a day. The Kainan Store’s new hours — “5:00 AM to 3:00 AM the next day, last order 30 minutes before closing” — now exactly match the Iwade Store’s hours within the prefecture.
