Matsuya Asaka Higashiguchi Store Extends Hours to 4 AM–2 AM, Adding 3 Hours
The operating hours of Matsuya Asaka Higashiguchi Store (1722) have changed. The store information on Matsuya’s official site now reads “4:00 AM to 2:00 AM, last order 15 minutes before closing,” replacing the previous “6:00 AM to 1:00 AM, last order 15 minutes before closing.” With opening moved up two hours and closing pushed back one hour, the store’s daily operating hours expanded from 19 to 22 hours — a three-hour increase. Last order remains 15 minutes before closing, meaning orders are effectively accepted until 1:45 AM.
The store is located in Nakamachi, Asaka City, Saitama Prefecture. The change widens the overnight-to-early-morning operating window on both ends; it is not a closure or an extended suspension, but an expansion of the store’s regular operating hours themselves.
Second Operational Review in Half a Year Since Opening
Matsuya Asaka Higashiguchi Store is a relatively new location that newly opened on March 28, 2026, and this marks its first change to operating hours since opening.
The store had already seen one major move since opening. It suspended operations from 3:00 PM on June 15, 2026 to 10:00 AM on June 30, 2026, and upon reopening was renovated to add “My Curry Shokudo,” a curry-specialty format, as a co-located brand. This latest expansion of operating hours follows roughly three months after that renovation. Whether the renovation and the extended hours are directly connected has not been stated officially, but within half a year of opening, the store has seen its operations revised in quick succession — first the addition of a co-located brand, and now an expansion of operating hours.
The Only Non-24-Hour Store in Asaka City
Asaka City currently has five Matsuya locations. Aside from Asaka Higashiguchi Store, whose hours changed this time, the other four — Asakadai Store (0509), Asaka Store (0570), Asaka Izumi Store (2084), and Asaka Hizaori Store (1811) — all operate 24 hours a day, making Asaka Higashiguchi Store the only non-24-hour location in the city. This change widens the opening and closing window on both ends, but it does not amount to a shift to 24-hour operation; rather, it further extends a non-24-hour operating window.
Of the 103 Matsuya stores currently operating in Saitama Prefecture, 27 (about 26%) do not operate 24 hours a day. Non-24-hour operation is a minority across the prefecture as a whole, and Asaka Higashiguchi Store is one of them.
The new hours, “4:00 AM to 2:00 AM, last order 15 minutes before closing,” can also be seen at other Matsuya locations in western Saitama Prefecture. Since September 17, 2026, stores including Tobu Kasumigaseki Store (0487) and Sayamashi Ekimae Store (0893) have revised their operating hours, including moving up opening times, and both now operate on the same “4:00 AM to 2:00 AM, last order 15 minutes before closing” schedule as Asaka Higashiguchi Store.
A Minority Among Stores With My Curry Shokudo
There are 79 Matsuya locations nationwide that have My Curry Shokudo co-located, of which 68 operate 24 hours a day. Even after extending its hours, Asaka Higashiguchi Store remains among the minority of co-located stores that do not operate around the clock.
Editor's Note
Opening now starts at 4 AM. It's become easier to swing by for a bite before the first train, or for a late-night nightcap.
