On the morning of July 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM, Matsuya Foods announced on its official X account (@matsuya_foods) that “Matsuya’s 60th Anniversary Campaign: Rakuten Pay Point Rebate Campaign Part 2,” currently underway on the official app, is coming to an end soon. The campaign runs through 11:59 PM on July 15, and this post serves as a reminder three days before it closes.

All 10 Matsuya Group Brands Nationwide Are Eligible

The campaign runs from 10:00 AM on July 1, 2026 through 11:59 PM on July 15, 2026. Customers who make an advance payment of 800 yen (tax included) or more through the Matsuya Foods official apps (Matsuben Net, Matsuya Mobile Order, Matsuben Delivery) and select Rakuten Pay as the payment method receive up to 15% back in Rakuten Points. The maximum rebate during the campaign period is 10,000 points. The details were announced on the official website on June 24, and this X post serves as a final push as the campaign nears its close.

Eligible are all 10 Matsuya Group brands nationwide: Matsuya, Matsunoya, My Curry Shokudo, Sushimatsu, Shoken Chinese Dining, Matsutaro, Steak-ya Matsu, Steak Set Meal & Bowl Matsugyu, Mugi no Toriko, and Tukkun². Pairing a Beef Bowl or Set Meal with a side easily clears the 800-yen (tax included) threshold, so the eligible range spans nearly all of Matsuya Foods’ brands.

Both the Channel and Rebate Method Have Changed Since Part 1 in June

Part 2 is the second installment in the ongoing Rakuten Pay rebate campaign series marking the 60th anniversary. The preceding Part 1 (June 1 - June 30, 2026) targeted Rakuten Pay payments at ticket vending machines and self-checkout registers, run as a stamp rally format with up to 10% rebate plus an incentive of up to 6,000 points for the top 600 participants. Part 2 switches this to a flat, direct rebate limited to the app, and raises the rebate rate to 15%.

Item Part 1 (June) Part 2 (July)
Eligible Payment Ticket vending machines / self-checkout registers Advance payment via official app
Period June 1 - June 30 July 1 - July 15
Rebate Rate Up to 10% Up to 15%
Rebate Method Stamp rally + up to 6,000 points for top 600 Flat rebate (cap of 10,000 points)

While Part 1 was completed entirely in-store via ticket vending machines and self-checkout registers, Part 2 is aimed squarely at app users who order and pay in advance — the same Rakuten Pay rebate, but with a clearly separated entry point.

Realized Exactly as Foretold: “Next Month, the Matsuya App Will Be Eligible”

In a post on June 13, while Part 1 was still underway, the official X account had already previewed the following month’s app-focused campaign: “A Rakuten Pay stamp rally campaign is underway — this time it’s only eligible at ticket vending machines and self-checkout registers. Sounds like there might be a Matsuya App campaign next month…!?” The now-ending Part 2 has materialized exactly as previewed, as an app-exclusive Rakuten Pay rebate.

Marking Exactly Two Years Since Rakuten Pay’s Introduction

Rakuten Pay became available for advance payment on the Matsuya app starting July 1, 2024. Part 2’s start date, July 1, 2026, falls exactly two years later, on the same date. The 15% rebate is timed to mark the two-year milestone since Rakuten Pay became a selectable payment option.

Rebate campaigns for Rakuten Pay have run repeatedly since its July 2024 introduction, with some form of rebate promotion continuing roughly every one to three months. This Part 2 campaign extends that pattern, offering another regular rebate opportunity for Matsuya app users who pay with Rakuten Pay.

A Week Where Multiple End-of-Campaign Pushes Overlap

Around the same time as this reminder, a separate end-of-campaign reminder was posted on the evening of July 11 for Matsuben Net’s Yorutoku double-points campaign (running through 11:00 PM on July 13). Combined with the Rakuten Pay Part 2 campaign’s July 15 end date, this week has become a period where multiple limited-time point promotions for app users are wrapping up in close succession.

Editor's Note

Add a side to a Beef Bowl and the 800-yen (tax included) threshold is easy to clear. If you want the 15% rebate, the window closes on the night of July 15.
