Matsuya Nirasaki Store Reopens Today as Matsunoya Co-located Store After About 12 Days of Renovation

StoreUpdated

Matsuya Nirasaki Store (No. 1742) has had the notice about its temporary closure and reopening removed from its store information. The change indicates that the renovation, which had continued since June 25, has been completed and the store reopened as scheduled at 10:00 AM on July 7. The store has resumed operations as a store co-located with Matsunoya.

The Temporary Closure and Reopening Notice Disappears

On the official website’s store information page, the store name had previously been accompanied by a notice reading “Temporarily closed from 3:00 PM on June 25, reopening at 10:00 AM on July 7,” with the closure and reopening dates and times also set. As of July 7, these have been cleared as follows.

Renovation Adds Matsunoya — Previously a Standalone Matsuya Store

The renovation of Nirasaki Store was initially announced, as of June 9, as “closing at 3:00 PM on June 25, reopening at 10:00 AM on July 8,” with the opening date later moved up to July 7. In line with the renovation, Matsunoya was added to the store’s brand lineup on June 25, changing the store from a standalone Matsuya into one co-located with Matsunoya. With Matsunoya, known for tonkatsu, now co-located, customers can choose tonkatsu in addition to Beef Bowl at the same store.

The store is located inside the “Life Garden Nirasaki” commercial facility at 2-12-20 Wakamiya, Nirasaki City, Yamanashi Prefecture, and is open from 9:00 AM to 11:30 PM (last orders 30 minutes before closing). It is the only Matsuya in Nirasaki City, with seven stores operating in Yamanashi Prefecture.

Editor's Note

After a roughly 12-day wait, Nirasaki Store is back — now co-located with Matsunoya. Being able to choose between Beef Bowl and Tonkatsu is a quietly welcome change.
